It’s been a great week this week. We enjoyed having a theatre day and dressing up being different characters. Then we enjoyed baby animal day, we played with farm animals and zoo animals and talked about lots of fun facts. To end the week we enjoyed playing jokes and tricking our friends as it is April fools day.

Today we have enjoyed “Theatre Day” we have enjoyed lots of different activities.
We enjoyed the walk of fame, seeing our names on stars was the best. We did well to find our names and pronounce each letter.
We did well to make up our own puppets show. At first the children needed a little help coming up with a story, once a grown up had helped they became very imaginative and enjoyed being different characters.
In babies we had so much fun playing with farm animals. We made animal noises. We are very good at remembering what sounds each animal makes. We also enjoyed playing with the musical shakers.We did really well at feeding ourselves and very much enjoyed the food. As its Theatre Day the babies joined in as well. They had there own little theatre set up with soft finger puppet animals.

We started the day off by exploring Old Macdonald’s farm 👩🌾👨🌾 the children had green fingers today as they were digging up the vegetables in the crop field guarded by scarecrows 🥔🌽🥕🥦🍅 the young farmers also set to work at feeding the baby lambs and cows their oats.
The children of MonkeyMoos had lots of fun exploring different parrot :parrot: pictures. They decided which ones they wanted and added lots of bright colours to represent each one.
We have been splashing in our duck 🦆 pond and making sure the ducks have lots of water by using jugs to pour and collect and making sure they have enough food and water. This then led us to look for some bugs, we used the magnifying glasses 🔍 to look around and had lots of searching.
Snowing! 🌨️ The children have been watching the snow ❄️ falling from the sky, as we were so excited she wrapped up warm 🧤🧣 and ran into the snow. We then tried to catch the snowflakes however they just melted away!
Today in the baby room👶We have been getting into the friday spirit by doing lots of singing 🗣️and dancing 💃and exploring what sounds we could make with different instruments!🎹🎼🥁🎷
We have also been challenging our fine motor skills ✋by doing some colour and size puzzles. We listened to the names of each colour 🔴:large_green_circle::large_yellow_circle:🔵and then used our concentration skills to try and put them onto the sticks!
Today in toddlers 👫 we have been having a relaxed 😎 kind of day we’re we have given the children the lead to explore their likes and dislikes in activities. 😊
Some 👦 👧 went towards reading stories 📚, showing their communication skills off by talking to one another and the practitioners what animals or character they can see, even the noises that they all make! 🐯 :black_cat:
Others went on to building, creating a nature stick and sand potion in the kitchen, role playing individually or together. 😁 It truly has been a Friday to be in some funtastic game playing! ❤️
Preschoolers had another lovely day at nursery today! We spent the morning downstairs watching the snow ❄️ out of the role play room window 🎭. Preschoolers loved watching the snow falling down even though it was still really sunny ☀️! We all had a group discussion 👫 together about what kinds of snowmen ⛄️ everybody wanted to make.
After eating some snack :bagel:, preschool all took part in a free – painting 🎨 activity with their friends 👫. Preschool especially enjoyed this activity as they had complete freedom to paint whatever they wanted, using any colour they liked! We had lots of different artwork, including spies 🕵️♂️ animals 🐶 and paintings of mummy and daddy 👨👩👧.
Later on in the day preschool made their way to the construction room 🏗️ where we all had a dance 💃! Some of the children were apprehensive to join in at first, but after putting on some of their favourite music 🎶 from popular childrens films 🎥 we had everybody up and moving! It was great fun 👍🏻 and by the end everybody had a big cheesy grin on their face 😁
