Welcome to MonkeyMoos Winklebury, Basingstoke.
Based in the middle of Winklebury and is surrounded by the local shops as well as the local schools. MonkeyMoos is a busy but warm, caring and supportive setting. We offer a safe, stimulating, age appropriate and spacious environment for the children to feel engaged and supported.
We have excellent indoor and outdoor facilities offering the children a place they can learn and thrive. The children are able to free flow throughout the whole of the nursery this will be supported by the knowledge and caring practitioners.
What do we offer at Winklebury, Basingstoke?
We are open 51 weeks weeks of the year, we have a variety of different sessions available from 7am-7pm. We offer both funded and non-funded sessions.
We are a 60 place nursery and have spaces for children between 3 months until they leave to go off to big school. We are a open plan nursery, we have one main room with a separate messy room, garden and also have a purpose built baby which is small, lovely and cosy. We also have two children’s toilets so we are able to support with toilet training we have nappy changing facilities along with children’s toilet and potties. The children can free flow throughout the building and garden throughout the day, giving the children independence to explore indoor and outdoor activities. The children will take part with adult and child led activities throughout the day as well as a variety of different group times. For the younger children we encourage small group activities for a short space of time to carry out singing or short stories, the older children will be encouraged to sit down for a phonics group time as well as activities to gain experience and knowledge to go off to big school.
- Daily walks around the community. We are luckily enough to be located in the middle of Winklebury so we have access to a lovely small park, woodland area as well as using the fields outside of nursery. The children use these on a daily basis these experiences of knowledge will help promote the children understand of the world and help gain experiences of their local community.
- Daily activities and national theme days. We make sure all of our activities are fun, every day has a new activity which is exciting and educational as well as promoting all 7 areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage. We also using these area to plan activities for each individual child to along with their interests.
- Daily photo updates. We provide families daily learning journal photos of what their children have been up to which is a fantastic tool in promoting language development as it gives you some fantastic talking points to discuss with your child when they come home from MonkeyMoos.
- Healthy professionally catered food. The nursery provides food which is freshly prepared by award wining chefs who cater for a wide range of dietary requirements.
We pride ourselves on being able to provide a happy, safe and inclusive environment in which children aged birth to five years old are encouraged to explore their potential!
