What an exciting christmassy ⛄️ week of learning we have had! This week we have started of by singing🎤lots of carols. Learning about the different songs 🎼 and why we sing them! It was also the first day of winter ❄️this week. So we celebrated by taken part in lots of messy activities. Learning about the different seasons☂️and what happens to the weather in winter! We have also been getting ready for Christmas🎄, by making reindeer 🦌biscuits for us to eat. It was yummy🤤! We also got involved in making some food ✨ for the reindeers as well.

Today we celebrated national carolling day! We used different types of musical instruments to play along to our favourite Christmas songs
the children loved using maracas, tambourines, xylophones and drums to make different beats and sounds.In the morning, the children all spoke about their weekend which was filled with: seeing family, visits to Santa, dining at restaurants, making our own meals and shopping. 
The children of MonkeyMoos also liked exploring the winter wonderland tray full of shaving foam, flour, snowflakes and buddy the elf
Who make snow angels. They would splash their hands into the foam and did high fives to splat the foam on each other.
Today has been all about winter , we have talked about the clothing that we need to wear 
. Then we talked about winter animals 
, 
.
For an activity we sat down and decorated some snowflake . Each child 
picked up a different colour pencil 
and coloured them in.For some fun the children decided to make up a game, two children had trains and two children stood with there legs 
open wide. The two children were rolling the trains down the hallway and then through the legs . They laughed 
so much and then swapped over.In babies 
they explored the musical 
instruments , by using different objects to bang with and listened 
to the sounds it was all making.
They put together some duplo bricks 
to build with, they are getting really good at connecting bricks together.
Today the in baby room we have had a busy day. 😁This morning the babies have been making some reindeer food for when they come Christmas Eve night! 🦌🎄Made with a mixture of oats, wheatabix and special magic glitter to help them fly.
Later the babies did some dancing and listened to some Christmas music 🎶🎄The babies then had some quiet time and sat in the cozy corner, looking at books and doing some puzzles. 🧩📚The babies have had a fun day! 🤩
Today in toddlers 👫 we have been continuing the Christmassy feeling by making some of our very own reindeer headbands. 🎅🏼🦌
The children 🧒👧 were using various materials including red painted glitter cotton balls, card, lots of glitter and not to forget the antlers. 🔴🟠
We have been exploring our natural senses such as sight, texture, feel and hearing. 👂.
They have been growing in independence and building stronger friendships over some present 🎁 talking on who they will be giving them too. 🥰
However carrying our ventures we took it to the garden to get some fresh air 🍃 and have some free play where we got up to lots of curious and happy playing. 🎉
It’s been a fun filled fantastic day and it’s 1 more day closer to Santa coming. 🎅🏼🥳🥰
We have continued in celebrating 🥳 Christmas 🎄 and getting very excited about 🎅🏼 Father Christmas coming in 3 more sleeps!!!!!
We have enjoyed reindeer biscuit 🍪 day!!! We all had a turn at decorating our own rich tea biscuit with lots of sweets and 🍫 chocolate. All the children are super excited about taking them home to eat them.
As there was some ingredients left we all sat down and tried some yummy 🤤 chocolate 🍫 drops, strawberry laces and cranberries. As you can imagine we enjoyed the chocolate and strawberry laces the most 😁. “YUMMY”
We braved the cold 🥶 again and ran of some of the energy or the sugar rush 😝 from the sweets 🍭
We also enjoyed spending time in our construction 🦺 room building different towers and bridges 🌉.
