Children In Need!!!

24/11/2021

What a fabulous week of learning we have had at MONKEYMOOS. The children have all taken part in Road Safety Week, we have all learnt how to safely cross the road and what dangers to look out for. This was the followed on by celebrating National Homemade Bread Day which we all got to taste a variety of different breads as well as making different shapes out of the bread too. Lastly we all helped raise lots of pennies for Children In Need by completing a sponsored walk, a bake sale and a pyjama day!!

The children have been very busy talking about they got up to on their weekend! Some children went to a party ๐ŸŽŠ, some went to the library and read stories ๐Ÿ“š whilst some posted letters to Santa!๐ŸŽ…

For national road safety week, some of the children went for a walk to feed the ducks. ๐Ÿฆ† They held hands ๐Ÿ™Œ with their partners and stopped at the roads to look both ways until it was safe to cross. They also looked out for danger โ›”.

They have also been painting ๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธ using different equipment, from paintbrushes ๐Ÿ–Œ๏ธ to toothbrushes :toothbrush: to see what different marks they could create. They have painted their families and a big MonkeyMoo house.๐Ÿต

Today in babies we have been exploring a tuff tray with food in it ๐Ÿž they enjoyed tasting the bread and flour using some spoons ๐Ÿฅ„ and their fingers โœ‹. They have also been looking in the front camera making lots of funny faces๐Ÿคช copying the practitioners and sticking their tongues out and smiling ๐Ÿ˜. The babies also enjoyed exploring the garden playing with the cars ๐Ÿš— and rocking back and forth on the seesaw.

Meanwhile, in the Toddler room they have been very busy ๐Ÿ˜Š. For National Bread Day, the toddlers have been doing some bread tasting. They have been trying different types of bread and talking about how they taste.๐Ÿž๐Ÿฅ– Toddlers have also been cutting out shapes with the bread and shape cutters. We talked about what the shapes are that they have cut out. โšช๏ธ๐Ÿ”ท:large_red_square:

At the same time with the lively pre schoolers we had decided to go on a nature adventure walk to the park.๐Ÿšถ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿšถ๐ŸผWe put our coats๐Ÿงฅ on and our hi-vis for safety, held our friends hands โœ‹ alongside the practitioners. On our journey we did some train๐Ÿš‚ spotting, squirrel ๐Ÿฟ๏ธ looking, car ๐Ÿš˜ guessing fun. We entered the park and we even had a little snack :basket: before we let some steam off. Using our hand eye ๐Ÿคš ๐Ÿ‘๏ธ co ordination, listening ears๐Ÿ‘‚ and a good understanding we have ventured around the park using various obstacle frames, ๐Ÿง—โ€โ™€๏ธ walls, swings and roundabouts smiling and giggling ๐Ÿ˜† as we go. When heading back to nursery we were talking about road safety with the red and green man๐Ÿ‘จ at the traffic lights๐Ÿšฆ. Self awareness when crossing the roads.. To stop๐Ÿ›‘, listen and look ๐Ÿ‘€ both ways. It has been a brilliant adventure and one that will certainly be keeping as a core memory!

This morning for snack we had a teddy bears ๐Ÿงธ picnic ๐Ÿงบ. The children were asked to wear their pyjamas and bring in a teddy ๐Ÿงธ. We all bought our teddies ๐Ÿงธ to the picnic. We enjoyed toast ๐Ÿž and oranges ๐ŸŠ. We have had a great time raising money through our sponsored walk๐Ÿšถโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿšถ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™‚๏ธ. We would like to thank ๐Ÿ˜Ševeryone who has helped raise money for Children In Need. ๐Ÿงธwe also had a cake sale which children and staff brought in some very yummy cakes for us all the sell to raise lots of pennies for Children In Need
