Children In Need!!!

24/11/2021

What a fabulous week of learning we have had at MONKEYMOOS. The children have all taken part in Road Safety Week, we have all learnt how to safely cross the road and what dangers to look out for. This was the followed on by celebrating National Homemade Bread Day which we all got to taste a variety of different breads as well as making different shapes out of the bread too. Lastly we all helped raise lots of pennies for Children In Need by completing a sponsored walk, a bake sale and a pyjama day!!

The children have been very busy talking about they got up to on their weekend! Some children went to a party 🎊, some went to the library and read stories πŸ“š whilst some posted letters to Santa!πŸŽ…

For national road safety week, some of the children went for a walk to feed the ducks. πŸ¦† They held hands πŸ™Œ with their partners and stopped at the roads to look both ways until it was safe to cross. They also looked out for danger β›”.

They have also been painting πŸ–ΌοΈ using different equipment, from paintbrushes πŸ–ŒοΈ to toothbrushes :toothbrush: to see what different marks they could create. They have painted their families and a big MonkeyMoo house.🐡

Today in babies we have been exploring a tuff tray with food in it 🍞 they enjoyed tasting the bread and flour using some spoons πŸ₯„ and their fingers βœ‹. They have also been looking in the front camera making lots of funny facesπŸ€ͺ copying the practitioners and sticking their tongues out and smiling 😁. The babies also enjoyed exploring the garden playing with the cars πŸš— and rocking back and forth on the seesaw.

Meanwhile, in the Toddler room they have been very busy 😊. For National Bread Day, the toddlers have been doing some bread tasting. They have been trying different types of bread and talking about how they taste.🍞πŸ₯– Toddlers have also been cutting out shapes with the bread and shape cutters. We talked about what the shapes are that they have cut out. βšͺοΈπŸ”·:large_red_square:

At the same time with the lively pre schoolers we had decided to go on a nature adventure walk to the park.πŸšΆπŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸšΆπŸΌWe put our coatsπŸ§₯ on and our hi-vis for safety, held our friends hands βœ‹ alongside the practitioners. On our journey we did some trainπŸš‚ spotting, squirrel 🐿️ looking, car 🚘 guessing fun. We entered the park and we even had a little snack :basket: before we let some steam off. Using our hand eye 🀚 πŸ‘οΈ co ordination, listening earsπŸ‘‚ and a good understanding we have ventured around the park using various obstacle frames, πŸ§—β€β™€οΈ walls, swings and roundabouts smiling and giggling πŸ˜† as we go. When heading back to nursery we were talking about road safety with the red and green manπŸ‘¨ at the traffic lights🚦. Self awareness when crossing the roads.. To stopπŸ›‘, listen and look πŸ‘€ both ways. It has been a brilliant adventure and one that will certainly be keeping as a core memory!

This morning for snack we had a teddy bears 🧸 picnic 🧺. The children were asked to wear their pyjamas and bring in a teddy 🧸. We all bought our teddies 🧸 to the picnic. We enjoyed toast 🍞 and oranges 🍊. We have had a great time raising money through our sponsored walkπŸšΆβ€β™€οΈπŸšΆπŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈ. We would like to thank 😊everyone who has helped raise money for Children In Need. 🧸we also had a cake sale which children and staff brought in some very yummy cakes for us all the sell to raise lots of pennies for Children In Need
