What better way to start the week then exploring all the different types of pasta 🍝 in the world. They have made musical 🎵 bottles and painting with different shaped pasta. They then learned about pumpkins 🎃 and explored the textures. Painting the pumpkin and using them to create different shapes 🔺. To finish our amazing learning week the children the celebrated national writing ✍️ day. Practicing our beautiful writing.

Today the children have enjoyed pasta day! 😋

They have made pasta sensory bottles using lots of different colours and shapes of pasta. They used their hands 🙌 and spoons 🥄 to fill up the bottles and then added different objects that began with the letter P. Afterwards they started to shake them to make lots of different sounds and sang there favourite nursery rhymes.🎤

Some of the preschoolers used the phonics area to create letters 🔡out of pasta and identified what letters they created. Whilst the toddlers enjoyed pretending to make lots of yummy food for us to eat!😋

Today is national pumpkin 🎃day

We have had lots of fun today 😄 joining in with lots of pumpkin 🎃activities for National Pumpkin Day.

We worked as a team to carve our own pumpkins, we had to decide what face we wanted and with a little bit of help from an adult we carefully carved out our face 😁 the insides were gooey and squelchy.

Then we had lots of fun making our own pumpkin biscuits 🍪 . We used orange 🟠 icing to make it the same colour as a pumpkin, then we used sprinkles 🔴🟣🟢and chocolate 🍫chips to make our pumpkin faces.

We had lots of fun joining in with pumpkin printing 🖌️🎨with paint. We used lots of different pumpkin shapes 🔷🟥🟢and lots of different colours.

We enjoyed playing pumpkin bingo with our friends, we even had a turn at calling our the numbers 🔢 for our friends. BINGO!!!!

We then played a spider 🕷️matching game and had to count the spiders and match them with the correct number.

We loved the learning experience of playing in the messy tray with lots of orange rice 🍚and black pasta 🍝which looked like a pumpkin. 🎃 talking about the textures and colours.

Today in babies we have been using our fingers🖐🏻 to make lots of marks in some flour and washing up liquid. The babies also liked playing in the jelly looking for some Halloween 🎃👻 items. They also enjoyed eating the jelly to taste the flavour🍋. They also liked spending time in the garden 🏡 looking at the different coloured 🔴🟠🟡 leaves🍂🍃.

In preschool and toddlers today we have been exploring our names and the different sounds within them. This lead to looking at our names and how they are written. Some children have had an interest in writing ✍️ to their families so we decided to firstly write our names and then make our very own postcards📮 drawing our pictures and then writing our very own names and messages. 📬 This sparked a conversation about holidays! So we then learned all about the different types of holidays and forms of transport 🚟 to get there! ✈️
