What a fun week we of learning we have had! We have been celebrating national social media dayπΈ, International mud day, and national ginger snap day. We had lots of activities planned from learning to take a picture, jumping up and down in muddy puddles to making cookies. πͺ
This week has been social media day. We have enjoyed using and playing with camera πΈ and have talked about what social media is.
We enjoyed joining in with singing πΆ and dancing π πΊ games both in the garden πͺ΄ and in the main room.
In babies πΆπΌ we enjoyed playing with the diggers π in the garden πͺ΄. We picked out different colour π΅π’π‘π΄ balls β½οΈ and using our fine motor skills we placed them in to the diggers π. We also enjoyed playing with our size and shape toys. We had to put them in height and shape βΎοΈπ·πΊorder and with a little help from our grown ups π§ββοΈwe did really well.

The children have spent some time talking about holidays they have been on so they decided to build a train π using the wooden blocks.π§±
Whilst in the garden the children had enjoyed performing a music πΆ band by making lots of music using musical instruments π₯ and singing lot of nursery rhymes, baa baa black sheep π was a favourite.
The children pretended to make gingersnap biscuits πͺ by using real ingredients, then put them into a magic πͺ oven and counted to 10 and magically gingersnap biscuits were made! They then enjoyed eating them together.
This week the babies have been engaging in body painting π¨ on the floor! They have been getting very messy in all the colours to explore the patterns or marks they can make using hands π and π¦Ά. They have also been enjoy the building blocks π§±in the garden looking at hand eye ποΈ conordination to make towers really high! π
Meanwhile, the toddlers have been caring for our pet π± Guinea Pigs. They have been using gentle hands π to give the pets a bath π to clean them so they stay healthy. With an adult help they used small pads to dampen the fur to remove any dirt. They have also been exploring the sand pit, making sandcastles π° of different shapes or sizes. They took turns in using the moulds with spades to make them which then lead to conversation π¬ about features and details. They also explored kicking 𦡠and catching today using balls they could see π of different sizes.
Preschool got on the Ginger fun this week by using rolling pins to crush up the biscuits πͺ and scoop them into a jug. They then looked at the numbers π―on the side of the jug to measure π how many crumbs they could get into the item. The children have also been engaging in some super cleaning π§Ό today using brushes to wipe down the tables and chairs πͺ to clean them. They engaged in conversation about how we look after resources in order for us to continue using them.
