Happy Friday Everyone πŸ˜ƒ

25/06/2021

Come take a look at all the amazing activity we had had going on this week, we have celebrated National Giraffe day, National Pink day and Patriotism Day.

We had fun with Giraffe day, learning where they live and what they eat, some of us even measured to see how tall they were compared to ourselves.

On Wednesdays we wear pink, in honour of National Pink day everyone dressed up in pink and had pink galore with pink activities, was very bright and pink.

Not forgetting all the British activities we took part in for Patriotism day, we learnt about the great British flag, the queen and even tried some British treats like scones and Eton mess. yummy.

As it was Giraffe πŸ¦’ day this week we enjoyed painting πŸ§‘β€πŸŽ¨ our own Giraffe πŸ¦’. We used yellow and black for spots but we also let t he children choose there own paints 🎨 and let them be as creative as they wanted to be.

What a day we have had, we drew pictures for our family. We used different colour πŸ”΄πŸ”΅πŸŸ£ pencils ✏️ and did well to use our fine motor skills.

We enjoyed taking pictures using the nursery camera πŸ“·, we went up to our friends and said β€œSay cheese”. 😁.

We sorted out our animals in to sizes of big, medium and large. The children did this well and some without having to think about the sizes.

We made lots of different constructions using different construction materials. We used wooden bricks 🧱, multilinks, small wooden colour bricks 🧱 with different animal pictures and colour bricks 🧱. We helped each other and gave each other some great ideas on how and what to build. Great job everyone πŸ‘πŸ».

In babies πŸ‘Ά we enjoyed dancing πŸ•Ί, enjoyed musical instruments 🎹 playing with zoo animals πŸ‘ΆπŸ˜πŸ¦“.

we have been celebrating  Pink Day :heartpulse: in the baby room we have been mixing foam together to make it super pink. Using our hands :raised_hands: to feel texture and scrunching our hands to make it go between our fingers, we had lots of fun and smiling :slightly_smiling_face: as we did so. We also have been decorating cookies :cookie: using chocolate :chocolate_bar: drops, blueberries :blueberries: and pink marshmallows. We have been pouring on our icing :cupcake: and then sticking our choice of topping down.To continue the Pink Day fun… the toddlers have been exploring a pink :heartpulse:themed tuff tray. We were looking at our five senses; taste  smell :nose: see :eye: feel :hand: and hear :ear:.  With this we got to taste some yummy marshmallows, pink wafer biscuits, as well as pink squash :cup_with_straw:. Plus feeling the fluffy :cloud: pink foam. After this we had a Pink day party in the garden :potted_plant:. Playing different party :tada: tunes and having a boogie :dancer: with our balloons :balloon:.Meanwhile for Pink Day preschool have been exploring pink :cherry_blossom: water :sweat_drops: making pink drinks :cup_with_straw: for their friends. They used jugs to pour the water into cups and mix the drinks using spoons :spoon:. They used their minds :brain: to think of storylines to add to the play too. Another fun activity the children engaged in today was to look :eyes: at small world :earth_africa: animal eggs :egg: in order to discuss baby animals and how they are made. This was a great interactive way to look at motor movements :muscle: alongside understanding the world around us.

The children have been enjoying wearing the colour pink :sparkling_heart: by showing each other their pink clothing.:womans_clothes:They have had lots of fun playing on the field by having running :man-running::skin-tone-2: races to get their hearts :hearts: pumping and to see who is the fastest, it was a hard decision so we decided they are all winners!:medal:Some of the children have been showing an interest in looking :eyes: for bugs :ant:, so they rolled over the logs :wood: to see what was hiding underneath. Some of the children were really brave and held them on their hands. :raised_hands:

n babies πŸ‘ΆπŸΌ we loved playing with the wooden sensory toys. The children kept putting them up to there faces πŸ‘ΆπŸ» and covering there hands πŸ‘πŸ» with them.

In the big room we enjoyed looking at books πŸ“š and talking about all the characters, especially the silly ones falling over.
Some of the children also enjoyed drawing our friends and family, mult link football ⚽️ match was also under way with the boys making their footballs teams.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ We even celebrated patriotism day with learning how the great British flag was made, having scones cream and jam for tea, and Eton mess for snack yum 🀀 we loved today, someone of us even made cups of tea with supervision, created flags and celebrating our unique qualities πŸ˜ƒ
