🤩 Happy Friday 😄

12/03/2021

This week we have had so much fun, we’ve celebrated national nutritionist day, national Mario day, National learn about butterflies day and getting ready for Mother’s Day.

The babies have been exploring a tray of flour using lolly sticks 🍭. This has encouraged them to look at their gross motor movements and also explore different textures. They have also been making cards for our families to look at Mother’s Day 💐. This was used to explore colour 🌈 names.

The toddlers have been exploring mark making in paint 🎨 using cars 🚘 and other toys. This has encouraged them to look at motor movements 💪 and colour mixing 🖌️. This has also been used to promote independence as they chose their own resources to add to the tray.

The preschool have been looking at organising and sorting toys :yo-yo: into the correct boxes 📦 to help their teachers keep preschool 🏫 tidy. This has been helping with school readiness by organising and grouping according to similarities and differences of toy groups.

The children have had fun making play dough. They took it in turns to pour the ingredients into the bowl, whilst using their hands 🙌 to mix it together. They have also been practicing their turn taking skills. They played a game called Jenga where they had to take one block :bricks: out at a time, without it falling down!⬇️

Whilst the other children have been practicing their team work skills. They worked together using the big wooden blocks to see how high they could make a tower. They have also been reading 📖 story books.

we went for a walk to the postbox📮 to post the pictures 🖼️ to our penpals. We all held hands 🙌 and talked about the dangers ⚠️ whilst crossing the road. We then had a play on the tree stumps and picked some yellow flowers.🌻

It’s a me Mario 🍄

National Mario Day, gave us nostalgia at its best.
We’ve been teaching the children all about Mario 😊

The Babies have explored different musical instruments 🥁 listening to the sounds they make, interacting with each other and learning to play independently as well as together.

The toddlers read a variety of stories whilst practicing turn one page at a time in the books 📚 they took turns role playing with the dolls house and making the trains going speedy just like Mario karts.

Preschool have been very creative and using their imagination today, they’ve washed the dirty dinosaurs 🦕 singing down in the jungle 🎶 they’ve then explored the princess peaches worship for making crowns 👸🏼🤴🏻They’ve also made the boxes 📦 from Super Marios and said coins are hiding inside.
They’ve also had fun building castles, bridges, mountains and dinosaurs 🦕 with the duplo.
