We have all had a great week at Monkeymoos enjoying and getting ready for Easter 🐣. We have spoken about lots of different things this week including finishing lots of fun and exciting activities about our book 📚of the month and county 🇺🇦 of the month. We all joined in with lots of great activities and fun adventures for easter 🐣, which included an Easter egg hunt 🔍 within the nursery and gardens. we have got very messy and creative designing our own Easter cards and making lots of yummy cakes 🧁which we really enjoyed eating yummy 😋!!

All our nurseries and children have got involved in lots of different activities and this week one of our curiosity days was “staying in touch with each other”. Are four nurseries will be writing ✍️ some fun and exciting letters 💌 to each other so we can express how much fun 🤪 we are all having when at nursery and what exciting things they get up to. This can include some amazing art 🎨 work which the children are proud 👏 of and want to show off. Some pictures of any new things within their nursery 🎓, display boards , activities or tuff trays. We all enjoyed sending them via the post man 📮 and waiting for the to arrive. We can not wait to read them next week and find out what we all getting up to.

We have had a Wonderful Wednesday packed with lots of fun activities like we taking the trip to the post office!!

Today in babies 👶 we have had an amazing 🤩 day! 

We started off the morning getting creative decorating pictures to bring home 🏡! We loved 🥰 using our motor skills to hold onto colouring pencils ✏️ , crayons 🖍 and glue sticks. We enjoyed using our motor skills to hold onto the materials and draw across the paper 📄 before sticking on feathers 🪶! 

We then went on a little trip to the post office 🏤 to buy an envelope ✉️ and a stamp. We enjoyed walking 🚶‍♂️, looking 👀 at the birds 🦅 and posting the letter into the letterbox 📬 .

Today in toddlers we have had a very creative day. 

In the creative room we have been using our fine motor skills to make lots of different marks and letters 🔠in the sand 🏜for our writing letter curiosity day with our hands , lollypop sticks and paintbrushes to see the different strokes they make .

We have also been super creative placing bubble wrap in two different 💗💛coloured paints to create our Easter 🐣 cards to go home to our families.

In the construction room we have been exploring how to Make big towers with the large scale bricks and the small bricks before knocking them down and starting over . We were also able to count the bricks and with some encouragement the colours we could see .

The preschoolers had a great day today taking part in our spring activities 🌼🌿

In the tuff tray we decorated our own Easter eggs 🥚 and Easter bunnies 🐰 using shaving foam 🪒 and different coloured paint 🎨 we chose what colour paint we wanted to use and drizzled it over a paper plate covered in shaving foam 🪒 we then used our hands to gently press our eggs 🥚 or bunnies 🐰 into the paper plate and watch what colourful 🌈 pattern it created😃

We also enjoyed decorating our own butterflies 🦋 for our life cycle of a butterfly display board. We used lots of different coloured paint 🎨 and cotton buds to create little patterns with lots of detail for our amazing butterflies 🦋 they look so good up on the display 😍

Over the last few days we have all had lots of fun getting creative 🎨 for our curiosity day today which is to stay in touch with another of our monkeymoos nurseries. We have enjoyed helping to decorate letters 💌and pictures to send in the post 📮.

A few of us then went on a little trip to the post office 🏤 to send the letter 💌. We walked 🚶🏼very calmly to the post office to buy a stamp before sticking it on the letter 💌 and placing it into the letter box 📫

Today the babies have enjoyed being creative and making arks in different ways.

They enjoyed using a thin roller to paint on to paper. They dipped the roller in to different colour paints and moved it up and down on to the paper. They were very excited to see the paint on the paper. 👶🎨

They also enjoyed mark making in flour in their tray using stencils. They focused well and did some good turn taking. They had fun and engaged well with their peers and grown ups. 👶👆

Out in the big room-

The children had a great time at the park before they had their lunch. They enjoyed the slide. Swings and the roundabout. They did so well to walk their and back and listened to their grown ups when they had to. 👦👧🛝

Some of the children enjoyed a focused activity of learning sounds and actions for letters. They choose what letter they wanted to learn and followed their grown ups instructions. They did so well at this activity. 👦👧🔡

Some of the toddlers and older babies enjoyed some garden time. They enjoyed riding on the bikes, playing bat and ball and playing with the shape sorter. They also enjoyed mark making on the chalk board. 👦👧👶🚲🎾
