We have had a wonderful and busy week we have had exploring lots of different activities around National Days and the children’s interest.
The children have had fun being festive again this week and getting very excited that Santa will be visiting us all very soon. Our Festive national days this week have been ‘Christmas Card Day’ all the children got to design their very own Christmas card for all of their loved ones. They were able to choose from a variety of different resources, some choose paint and glitter, some choose gluing and sticking and some of the children choose drawing with either crayons, pencils or coloured pens. The older children even got practicing their writing skills by copying some letters from who the card was for and were also able to write their own name inside too. We also celebrated Christmas at nursery by having our very own Christmas lunch made by our fantastic catering company HUNGRYMOOSE!! All the children enjoyed making their very own Christmas hat to wear throughout their special lunch. Lots of the children enjoyed their roast turkey, roast potatoes, stuffing, pigs in blankets, parsnip, carrots and not forgetting the yummiest gravy!!
Today we enjoyed Christmas craft morning for our preschools and Christmas turkey roast dinner for lunch. Come and take a look. Babies have had a great day. They enjoyed putting together some Puzzles this morning as a group and sitting nicely with a grown up helping them put the pieces together. They all had lots of fun. ๐ถThis morning the Babies did some more Christmas decorations ready to put in their Christmas envelopes. They sat nicely colouring them in using lots of different colours. They really enjoyed showing their grown ups what they had done. ๐ถ๐๐๐ โ๏ธBabies had some fun in the garden building with the mega blocks and showing their grown ups what they were making. They also enjoyed playing balls and engaging with he toddlers. ๐ฆ๐ง๐ถPreschool have had an AMAZING day!! Today was our Christmas ๐ Stay and Play ๐!!At our Stay and Play, we had red โค๏ธ sparkly โจ play dough! We made lots of different things!! We made Christmas trees ๐, Santaโs ๐ , stockings ๐งฆ, and presents ๐! We also had a lovely tuff tray of porridge ๐ฅฃ oats, Rice Krispies ๐, feathers ๐ชถ, and colourful sticks! This helped us practice mark making ๐ with our fingers ๐ and resources! We would gather the oats and cereal in our hands ๐ and then BLOW ๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ฌ to make pretend snow โ๏ธ!! We got to make our own Christmas ๐ lights ๐ก with paint ๐จ, pegs and pom-poms! We used our fine motor skills in our fingers ๐ to hold the little pegs ๐ค, and dot the paint ๐จ all over the card!We did lots of lovely ๐ฅฐ drawings too! We got to colour ๐ in many different christmas ๐คถ drawings! We coloured Santa ๐ , elves ๐ง, presents ๐, christmas trees ๐, and many more! Our Mummies and Daddies ๐จโ๐ฉโ๐ง helped us colour too!!We loved ๐ฅฐ our stay and play today! Thank you to our Mummies and Daddies for coming!!
โโ Thursday at Winter wonderland โโ ๐จSnow is falling ๐จ wonderful day filled with Christmas cheer playing in our Christmas themed home corner โ fancy a yummy mince pie and hot chocolate? Taking the time to read a good book ๐ Our Monkey moos had the free choice to select their own story to read while relaxing in the cosy home corner on this chilly day. ๐ค A big happy 1st birthday for tomorrow Sid! ๐Thank you for sharing your yummy plant based birthday cake with us all in baby room.๐ Hide and seek…. ๐ the babies had to search for all their hidden toys in our Christmas themed tuff tray…. great searching! ๐ Run, Run as fast as you can….. ๐ babies have been decorating (and eating) gingerbread men.๐Photo shoot say cheese ๐ท in baby room with a Christmas twist.
Yet another festive day at MonkeyMooโs!๐๐ Santaโs grotto!๐ ๐ผย The home corner was transformed into Santaโs grotto which was so much fun! The floor was covered in snow which the children enjoyed throwing up in the air and watching it trickle downโ๏ธย The children helped Santa wrap presents๐, make cookies๐ชย and open all the Christmas lists! The children worked together with an adult to make some red and green play dough, to make some play dough Christmas cookies!๐The children made gingerbread men, Santa and snowballs!โ๏ธDolls house!๐กย The children used their amazing imaginations today to make up different stories for the dolls in the doll house. It was babies bed time, they sat the baby in the high chair for dinner๐ชbefore tucking her into bed๐ย ย and Granny and Grandpa watched paw patrol on the tv!๐บ
Today in babies ๐ถ weโve had an amazing ๐คฉ day!ย For our first activity we got creative ๐จ decorating Christmas ๐ baubles! We loved ๐ฅฐ making our own decisions in which colour we want to use โค๏ธ๐!we wanted to use to decorate. We then squirted the paint ๐จ onto the shaving ๐ช foam and pushed the bauble into the foam leaving behind a marble patternใฐ๏ธWe continued to make our Christmas ๐ cards by painting ๐จ our feet ๐ฆถ brown ๐ค and pushing them onto the paper. We loved having our feet ๐ฃ painted and then watch them appear on the paper.ย .0We also enjoyed looking ๐ in the garden and watching ๐ a cat ๐ walk along the fence. We loved ๐ฅฐ to point ๐ at the cat ๐ฑ and say the word โcatโ.The toddlers had a fantastic today exploring our book ๐ of the month โ Reindeers on strikeโ we had lots of fun ๐คฉ exploring our tray tuff which had a sensory reindeer face on for us to explore. We used our hands ๐๐ผ to feel the different textures and explore what we could find in the tray. We also spoke about what Santa ๐ ๐ผ would do if his reindeers really were strike ๐ชง and read the story together around the tray ๐We also got creative and made our own reindeer out of our foot ๐ฆถ print. Our adults painted ๐จ our tickley toes ๐ฆถ with a paintbrush ๐ and then we printed them on to a piece of paper, we then added our own antlers and a red nose ๐ ๐ด just like rudolfToday in preschool we have had so much fun ๐คฉ . We have used our fine motor skills ๐to create a snowman โ๏ธ . We used our hands top pick up a potato ๐ฅ and then we dipped the potato ๐ฅ into white paint ๐จ and then printed onto the black paper to make the bottom part of the snowman โ๏ธ . We then picked up a smaller potato and dipped it into paint ๐จ and printed onto the black paper onto the top of the snowman โ๏ธ to create the head part of the snow man. We then added the snowmans โ๏ธaccessories.We used our senses ๐and our fine motor skills to take part in a Snowman โ๏ธ tuff tray. We created the snowman โ๏ธ shape out of icing sugar and then we independently choose to add the snow mans accessories like the google eyes for the eyes, a hat for the snowmans hat ๐ฉ and twigs for the snowman. We had so much fun ๐คฉ taking part in the tray and independently creating our very own snowman โ๏ธ .ย We have used our fine motor skills, Mark making on paper ๐ using pencil โ๏ธ to send special messages ๐ฎto loved ones to wish them well over Christmas ๐ ๐ผ and hope that they are having a wonderful time
