We have had a wonderful and busy week we have had exploring lots of different activities around National Days and the children’s interest.

The children have had fun being festive this week ready for when Father Christmas comes to visit!! We have had ‘Santa List Day’, all the children got to write their letters to Father Christmas to tell him what they would like for Christmas and if they have been good girl/boy this year. The children also got to send them in the post to make sure he gets them. We have also had ‘Visit to Lapland’ all the children got to use their imitation skills and pretend that they were at Lapland with Father Christmas, helping him and the elves make toys for everyone!! And lastly we have ‘Christmas Jumper Day’ all the children got to come into nursery in their festive outfits. We have Christmas party dress, Christmas jumpers as well as Christmas pyjamas. The children also got to design their very own Christmas jumper too.

Its Christmas jumper day both the babies and children have enjoyed wearing their jumpers. Come and take a look at all the different jumpers we have had.🎄👶👦👧.The babies enjoyed going down to the messy room were they enjoyed chalking on the chalk board and playing with the play dough. With the play dough they enjoyed using a Santa hat cutter to make Santa hats.🎄🧢We have had a super good day today! In the morning we did some drawing ✍️ where we designed our own Christmas 🎄 jumpers 🎽! We loved choosing what colours 🌈 to use and practicing our fine motor 🤲 skills!Today is CHRISTMAS 🤶 JUMPER DAY!! So we got in some amazing 🤩 christmas 🎄 jumpers! We all looked super! ⭐️On our walk 🚶‍♀️ today, we looked 👀 around for houses 🏠 that were decorated for Christmas 🎄! We loved finding different houses 🏡 and seeing all of the Christmas 🎅 decorations! We saw a BIG snowman ☃️ and a Christmas tree 🎄!In our group time today, we did some SATPIN 🔤 bingo! We matched the sounds 🔈 and letters 🔤 to the picture! We are getting ready for big school 🏫!

We started off yet another christmasy day with a game of pin the carrot on the snowman!🥕We covered our eyes and carefully walked towards the snowman, using cello tape to guess where the snowman’s carrot nose would go!☃️

Christmas ice cream!🍦 Santa’s ice cream truck visited the home corner today! The children made their own flavours of ice cream and added their chosen toppings!🍓

In the creative area, the children made Christmas monsters!👹 Using googly eyes👀 paint🎨 chalk and cotton wool!

Green and red pasta jewellery!💍 A follow on from yesterdays interest of making jewellery, we added a Christmas theme and the children made some Christmas coloured necklaces!💚❤️

Who will we see?👀 The babies have enjoyed playing peekaboo over on the climbing frame, taking it in turns to climb up and shout boo through the glass!🤗

Down on the farm!🚜 The farmers have enjoyed looking at different animals and mimicking their noises before stomping through grass and mud!🐷

what’s for dinner Rudolph?🔴… 🌲 At Monkey Moos we have been investigating different textures in the tuff tray 🙌. Using lentils, rice and flour the children used spoons to scoop the mixture. 🌲

who is at the station? 🚂… Working together as a team the monkey moos pushed their trains 🚂 along the track, taking turns and communicating with each other 👄

Chill-axing 🛌… enjoying a good book 📖 and a lay down with friends 👬👭
