We have had a wonderful and busy week we have had exploring lots of different activities around National Days and the children’s interest.

The children have had fun learning about Yemen. The children all learnt that Yemen is a country in West Asia, as well learning about their different buildings and what food they have in Yemen compared to England.

The children also learnt about Thanksgiving!! They learnt it is an American themed national day and it is a time to gather with friends and family to share a traditional meal and express gratitude for the good things in life. The children also learnt that it is always celebrated in November and that Thanksgiving traces its origis to harvest festival.

Road safety week!!

Today in babies 👶 we’ve had so much fun 🤩!

We started the morning getting creative 🎨 decorating Christmas trees 🎄. We used our motor skills to hold the paintbrush 🖌, dip it into the green 💚 paint 🎨 and spread it across the tree 🌲. 

We then had fun exploring a Christmas 🎅🏻 themed tuff tray. We used our fingers 👆 to make marks in the flour and glitter ✨ as well as using our hands 🙌 to pick up the objects. We also used our motor skills to Move the trains 🚂 along the track 🛤 and over the bridge 🌉

We have had lots of fun in toddlers and preschool today. As part of National Road road 🏎safety 🚧 week the preschoolers have taken part in a road safety 👷‍♀️small world tuff tray. 

We had a roads for the 🏎cars to go on, road signs ⛔️and 🚦signals, small world people crossing the road and scenery of a Town and the preschoolers used their fine motor skills too move the cars 🚘 around the roads 🛣and safely move the pedestrians 👭around the tray with out them being hit by cars. We spoke about traffic lights 🚦 and when cars can go, we spoke about the different signals ⛔️and what they mean. We spoke about how to safely cross roads 🚸using traffic lights and crossings.

We have also been getting creative with our hands and explored bubble wrap painting for trees which was so fun we explored the different colours of paints like yellow 💛blue 💙and red ❤️for our trees 🌳 and loved how it looked with bubble wrap 🫧. We’ve also loved being constructive in the construction room exploring puzzles using our fine motor skills to find the right holes and building huge towers for our cars 🚗.

This morning the babies have enjoyed playing with our sorting shapes toy. They all did well to take it in turns to place a different shape in to the box and some of the babies have started saying the colours. 👶🖐🟢🔵🟡🟣

For snack time they very much enjoyed their buttery crumpets. They sat so well with each other engaging and ate the whole lot. Just look how happy they are eating their crumpets. 👶😋👀

We have had such a lovely day today!!

In the morning, we did some block printing! We helped our grown up’s do some block printing, practicing our fine motor skills. We stamped the blocks down onto the paper, pressing down using our palms and stretching out our fingers to grab the blocks. We loved choosing what colour to use! 👦👧🟢🔵🟡🟣🧱🎨

We went on another walk today! Today we went to our favourite park. We took turns on the swings, and helped each other swing up REALLYYYY HIGH!! We played ice cream shop under the slide, where we ate lots of delicious imaginary ice cream, and we played Whats The Time Mr Wolf and did some super fast running! 👧🚶‍♂️🍦🍨⏱

After lunch, we did some more block painting! This time we used small circle blocks and stamped paint onto CLOUDS!! We love talking about the different sizes of these clouds, and were super happy with how they turned out! We can’t wait to see our artwork on the display board! 👦👧☁️

Toddlers enjoyed going to the field this morning where they joined in with some wet fun activities. They had lots of fun playing with the ball and scooper and did really well at trying to catch the ball. 👦👧🏏

Cheese!🧀 All age groups have been intrigued in technology today, teaming up to have a cheeky selfie showing off their best smile😊

Paint attack 🖌 using different size paint brushes and different colour paint the monkeymoos created amazing paintings to take home when dried. 🎨

Mark making station 📜 the monkeymoos have been practicing holding pencils 📝 pens 🖊 crayons 🖍 and chalk correctly when making marks on different colour card and different size white paper.

Working together 👩‍⚕👩‍🍳👩‍✈️🎅👩‍🚒👷 at monkeymoos our main interest has been dressing up in our selection of dressing up clothes based in our green room home corner 🏠

Stamp, stamp 🔵🔴⚫ the MonkeyMoos asked to use the colour stamped to create beautiful colourful pictures to take home and be displayed 💁

Pancakes!🥞 For morning snack, we enjoyed chocolate chip pancakes! The children took it turns to flip a pancake in the pan, and then enjoyed eating it up together at the table🍴

Wrapping and sticking!🎁 A big interest today was learning how to wrap different objects around MonkeyMoo’s! The children wrapped dominos, books and different home corner foods!

Colourful roads!🚦 In the tuff tray we had rainbow coloured roads and rainbow coloured bridges!🌈 Our cars zoomed up and down, over and across!

The children explored their sense off touch in the messy tray! They touched sticky honey🍯, crunchy pasta🍝, bumpy biscuits🍪 and soft flour!

It was a rather chilly❄️ morning in the MonkeyMoo garden, but that did not stop us from playing a game of duck duck goose in the garden for group time!🦆 We wrapped up warm and ran as fast as we could, shouting, ‘You can’t catch me in the ginger bread man!’

The children used magic water🪄 to turn our sea animal books into, bright, colourful pages of fish🐟, coral🪸, bubbles🫧 and boats🛶!

Messy tray flour fun! We pushed, pressed, and sprinkled the flour in the messy tray! We tried to squeeze the flour into balls and create big mountains!🏔
