We have had a wonderful and busy week we have had exploring lots of different activities around National Days. The children have had fun learning all about TONGA. Where TONGA is located, what animals you might find and lots of different fun facts all about TONGA! The children also enjoyed ‘GET FUNKY DAY’, the children have been able to wear their funkiest clothes to nursery to show all their friends. Some of the children came to nursery wearing white tops as they were involved in completing a colour run to see how many colours they can get on their tops. Also the children got to decorate their tops using as many colours as they could. And lastly the children have enjoyed MAD HATTERS DAY, the children enjoyed making their own cups of tea and jam sandwiches to join in with their MAD HATTERS DAY. The children also enjoyed making their very own MAD HATTERS HATS.
We started the day getting creative π¨ decorating our very own neon π¨ shirts π. We used our hands π, fingers πpaintbrushes π and paint sponges 𧽠to add the paint π¨ all over the T-shirts. We used lots of different colours such as pink π, blue π, yellow π orange 𧑠and green π. We made handprints and lots of different patterns.Β
We then got physical taking part in a party π. We listened to lots of music πΆ, did lots of dancing π and waved glow sticks. We used our motor skills to grasp onto the stick and wave ππ» it around.
The Toddlers had lots of fun today getting creative and colourful celebrating π₯³ national Get Funky day πΊ
In the creative room we decorated our own white T-Shirt π and our ones from home π using our hand β prints and all of our bright coloured powder paint π¨ we used all of our favourite colours β€οΈππ
We loved getting messy and covered in powder paint π¨ this is our favourite kind of activityπ
We played in a beach tuff tray ππ with different sea animals π¦ the tray was filled with blueπ rice π to represent the sea π and lots and lots of sand for us to explore we enjoyed moving the animalsπ around the tray and making lots of different marks π₯
In the construction room we had lots of fun using the big building blocks 𧱠to make a house π‘ for our friends, we worked together to carefully place the blocks π§±around each other, we then took it in turns to stand in the house and hide π from each other π.
Funky day πͺ©πΊall day. We are having much fun and exciting things for the day with our colourful sparkly β¨ play dough. We have many different tools to use their fine motor skills to cut, roll and stretch out our spectacular play dough.
We also got some soft blue bubbly foam for them to explore the textures and making marks using our fingers and toy trucks
A very messy and colourful colour run πββοΈ for all of them in the garden πͺ΄
Also they busted amazing dance moves with our disco πͺ© being very physical movement and rhythm πΆ getting so much fun and excitement.
Today the children enjoyed playing in the βLetβs go fishingβ tuff tray. There were lots of different fish for the children to sort through and put in to bowls. They all took it in turns to use a fishing rod and did really well to use their hand eye coordination to collect the fish with a fishing rod. π§π¦π£
Today the children have enjoyed spending some time together doing some peg puzzles. They all sat around choosing a different board to do and focused for a long amount of time doing them. Just come and take a look. π§π¦ππ§©
In the messy room the children enjoyed taking part in junk modelling robots. They used the colours, black, grey and white to decorate the robots and when they are dry the children can play with them. π§π¦π€
In the messy room tray the children enjoyed the very messy activity. They all got stuck in with their hands and had so much fun. π§π¦π€²
Babies had lots of fun playing in the flour and conditioner messy activity. They loved feeling the texture with their hands and playing together. πΆπ€²
Today the babies have enjoyed having their feet painted by their grown ups. They laughed as it tickled their feet and then we stamped down on to black paper. Just wait till you see what they will be. πΆπ©π¨π£
Babies have also spent the day enjoying some time with the duplo bricks putting the bricks together and having their grown ups help them and play with them. They liked it when their grown ups helped them. πΆπ©π§±
Today we have been exploring the country of the week Tonga. We found out it was really known for having rain π§ forests π³ so we put on our aprons and began to paint π¨ our own versions of stain forest.
As all countries have different buildings full of different sizes, we put our building skills to use and built the biggest tower and building, just like the one βοΈ in Tonga! πΉπ΄
Next stop! We are getting so good with recognising our names and forming the letters.βοΈ A fun and exciting way to get involved with name writing was to put our arts and crafts skills to use. We cut βοΈ And ripped some magazines and then added them to the lines of each letter of our name.
To finish off we had lots of garden fun! We jumped of the tyres π and looked underneath for bugs π and all creatures, big and small. We have been reading π stories in the sunshine βοΈ and riding around on bikes.
