We have had a wonderful week, with many National Days explored. The children have been exploring Lions and their natural habitats. Who can roar like a lion?? We have also taken a trip to Nimibia. HungryMoose provided some lovely desserts which you would get when you visit Nimibia. We have also been tasting some delicious rice pudding for rice pudding day, delicious!

Today we celebrated the King of the jungle 🦁 on the 10th of August each year it is world lion day, this is to show awareness of the decline of the lion population. We ROARRR -ed the day away in the only way we know how… With a lion based sensory tuff tray where our Monkey Mooers liked mixing the coloured rice and construction blocks together to give Leo the lion the funniest mane!🦁

10 little ducks went swimming one day πŸ’¦ ….. The children enjoyed singing along and also learning the common and much loved nursery rhyme, we extended the song to 10 to include all the ducks in our water tray. The children scooped the ducks in to the net and splashed in the water.🐀

Barnyard Mania! πŸ„Our farmers took to the farm themed tray to help the farmers round up all his animals that got stuck in the mud by using the different trackers to pick them up and drive them safely back to the farm!🚜

Pasta Smash!πŸ›  Our children were tasked on finding a tool of their choice and seeing how much pasta and spaghetti they could smash up within five minutes. The Monkey Mooers took it in turns to hit the pasta into tiny pieces until they were all gone!πŸ”§

Magic Movements!πŸƒTo finish off this busy day, the children took part in Activate where they listened to Sticky Kids and followed the instructions to yoga, dancing and practicing on their stretching, balancing and running skills!🚢🎢

What a wonderful Wednesday!

Today in babies πŸ‘Ά we had so much fun 🀩celebrating Namibia πŸ‡³πŸ‡¦ day.

We got creative by sticking blue πŸ’™ red ❀️ and green πŸ’štissue paper to paper to create Namibia πŸ‡³πŸ‡¦ flags. We also used coloured paint 🎨 and lollipop sticks.

Then we explored an African safari πŸ¦“πŸ¦’πŸ¦themed tuff tray. We had lots of fun 🀩 playing in the rice crispy sand and coco powder mud. We loved taking the animals πŸ¦›πŸŠ to the waterhole and making them all muddy. After this we rescued πŸ›Ÿ traped animals πŸ…πŸ¦’ by using our motor skills to pull tape off them. We also enjoyed playing with ice 🧊 cubes that had animals in πŸ…. We enjoyed watching them melt letting the animals out.

Today the preschool and toddlers had so much fun🀩 they started off the morning by doing an activity! The activity was painting the flag of the country Namibia πŸ‡³πŸ‡¦ using colouring pencils ✏️, feathers πŸͺΆ , different coloured paint 🎨, glitter ✨ and much more!

Then they also did a tuff tray which was based on a safari theme! It was made out of Astro turf and on the Astro turf were different animals πŸΌπŸ¨πŸ΅πŸ¦πŸ¦“πŸ†πŸ¦œπŸ¦’ and around the animals was rice crispies which the children used to dig their hands in and feel the texture of the rice crispies as well as eating them!

On top of all that they got to ride a safari truck πŸ›» across some wooden blocks which was set out as a path so you could take the safari truck πŸ›» across the path to see all the different animals πŸ¦πŸ¦“πŸ¦’πŸ¦œπŸ†πŸΌπŸ¨πŸ΅ that were in the safari! Then we came outside and played on the slide πŸ› as well as with the tyres πŸ›ž and the dinosaurs πŸ¦• going roarrrrr!

Finally we also played in the mud kitchen β²πŸ‘©β€πŸ³ and made some yummy 🀀 cupcakes 🧁 and some yummy donuts 🍩. We also got to see the guinea pig and we got to watch her run πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ around her crate and eat some yummy πŸ˜‹ vegetablesπŸ₯•πŸ₯¦

Today in the garden the children enjoyed playing a game of sack race. They each took it in turns to share the sacks and did some really great hopping skills. πŸ‘§πŸ‘¦

This morning some of the children enjoyed joining in with a phonics activity with their grown up. They all joined in so well doing all the actions and sounds. After they did their phonics they then enjoyed playing a game of πŸ‘§πŸ‘¦πŸ”‘

This morning some of the children enjoyed a trip to the park. It’s lovely seeing the sun again and the children had a fantastic time. They enjoyed swings, slide and so much more. πŸ‘§πŸ‘¦β˜€οΈ

Babies have enjoyed being messy in the messy tray. They had painting and was making hand prints. They had a grown up to help them and loved the messy part of this activity. Just look how happy they are. πŸ‘ΆπŸ‘©πŸ˜€πŸ–πŸŽ¨

They enjoyed playing with the home corner toys with the toaster, food and tea pots and being imaginative with these props with their peers. πŸ‘ΆπŸ΅πŸ΅πŸ«–πŸͺ🍞

They also enjoyed a trip to the park were they enjoyed the swings and being pushed but the older children, going down the slide and playing with the sensory toys. πŸ‘ΆπŸ‘§πŸ‘¦πŸ§Έ

We started our day outside running πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ around before it got to hot. We then cooled down with a big water πŸ’§ fight with all our friends and even got some of the adults. Whilst this was going on some of us enjoyed the sun β˜€οΈ and listened to some stories that have been our favourite.

As the weather has been super hot ice cream 🍦 has been mentioned lots and how much we love ice cream and our favourite flavours. With this we created yummy chocolate 🍫 mud ice creams in the soil, we used colourful pencils ✏️ to create and draw our own magical ice cream.

Trucks!πŸ›» we have been super interested in the trucks. Using the trucks we have used our imagination and collected all the bricks to unload. We have also been taking turns with our friends and making sure we share them.

Time to cool down inside. Inside we have been reading stories, playing the food shopping game and talking about yummy foods. We also had fun in the messy tray full of different textures that we had the chance to explore.
