FriYay Feeling!

A wonderful week of fun and laughter at MonkeyMoos this week. We visited Germany for our country of the week. The children learnt how to make pretzels by bending the play dough into the pretzel shapes. They also took a trip down a German canal in their water tray too. We have been doing our bit for the environment this week by teaching the children about how to keep our oceans clean and the importance of recycling for World Environment Day. The sun has been shining and is hopefully here to stay also! Lots of walks in the local areas have also been enjoyed.

World Environment Day๐ŸŒ

Who can help to save the turtle?๐Ÿข Our litter pickers took to the messy tray to clean up all the rubbish floating around in the sea using tweezers and spoons to transfer all the litter into a bin bag by working as a team. ๐Ÿšฎ

Save our planet!๐ŸŒŽ Our children focused on their recycling knowledge today over at the tuff tray by talking about what rubbish can be recycled and what cannot be such as: cardboard for recycling, food to go in the food waste bin and jam jars go into the glass box. ๐Ÿ—‘

What is heaviest?๐Ÿค”Our curious children teamed up to see what items weighed the most and which ones were the lightest. Each child were tasked with finding two objects and placing them on either end of the scale to reveal the heavier and lighter item. โš–๏ธ

Who are you going to call?๐Ÿ“ž The Monkey Mooers showed off their creative side by making their very own recycled phones using only string and paper cups to call each other. โ˜Ž๏ธ

What can you create?๐ŸงOur inventors took to the messy table to create their very own masterpieces out of different recyclable items such as: yoghurt pots, cardboard boxes, kitchen roll holders, paper cups, lollipop sticks and feathers!โ™ป๏ธ๐ŸŽจ

Happy Tuesday,

This morning the preschoolers who are going to school took a trip to a local school where some maybe going to on September. This is all part of our school readiness and the children had a great time. We spoke about going to school and the children seem to be super excited. They all said the school is huge. ๐Ÿ‘ง๐Ÿ‘ฆ๐Ÿซ

The children have enjoyed playing with all different kinds of sensory textures today. In the tyres they enjoyed sand and soil and did a great job and sweeping it up when it got a little messy. Then in the messy room they enjoyed playing in the farm themed tray with different cereal textures for them to play and eat which they did. ๐Ÿ‘ฆ๐Ÿ‘ง๐Ÿ๐Ÿ„๐Ÿ–โœ‹๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿงน

This morning the babies enjoyed using different colour crayons to colour in a dinosaur picture, They did well to hold on to a crayon and did great colouring. ๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿฆ–๐Ÿฆ•๐Ÿ–

Happy Thursday!

Today in babies ๐Ÿ‘ถ we have had a lovely day! We have enjoyed some activities for upsy daisy day!

Firstly we liked exploring a tissue paper activity, which had some in the night garden ๐Ÿชด characters hidden within the paper ๐Ÿ“„. The babies ๐Ÿ‘ถ used their hands ๐Ÿ™Œ to move the tissue paper ๐Ÿ“„ around, searching ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ”Ž for Iggle Piggle, Upsy Daisy and Makka Pakka.

The babies ๐Ÿ‘ถ later on enjoyed playing with babies ๐Ÿ‘ถ in the garden ๐Ÿชด. Giving them a bubble ๐Ÿซง bath ๐Ÿ›. They used the sponges ๐Ÿงฝ and flannels to wash ๐Ÿงผ their babies ๐Ÿ‘ถ before taking them out of the bath ๐Ÿ› and wrapping them up in a towel, making them all cosy.

The babies ๐Ÿ‘ถ then went over to read some books ๐Ÿ“š in the cosy corner with their practitioners. Looking at the pictures, and listening ๐Ÿ‘‚ nicely.

Today toddlers ๐Ÿง’have been celebrating Upsy Daisy/positivity ๐Ÿ˜day! This morning the toddlers have been making some thank you cards for someone special ๐Ÿ‘ซ. The toddlers used some glue with some glue sticks which they then spread over their pictures. ๐Ÿ–ผThe toddlers then chose from a range of different colour๐ŸŸฃ๐Ÿ”ดโšช๏ธ๐Ÿ”ต glitter โœจ to sprinkle and decorate their picture ๐Ÿ–ผwith! After they had finished their card the practitioner asked who they are giving it too! ๐Ÿ‘ซ

The toddlers have also been exploring in an artic trayโ„๏ธ, full of snow โ„๏ธmade from talcum powder and baby oil. The tray also was full of different creatures ๐Ÿง๐Ÿฆญ๐Ÿปโ€โ„๏ธthat could be found in the artic. โ„๏ธThey enjoyed feeling the textures of the โ€˜snowโ€™ and naming all the different animals! ๐Ÿง๐Ÿปโ€โ„๏ธ๐Ÿฆญ

The toddlers have also enjoyed building with the magnetic shapes! ๐Ÿงฒ๐Ÿ’ They have been building all sort from rockets ๐Ÿš€ to tents! โ›บ๏ธ The toddler have been talking ๐Ÿ—ฃabout the shapes ๐Ÿ”บโ—ป๏ธโšช๏ธthey have been using while they build!

Today in preschool we have had lots of fun ๐Ÿคฉ celebrating national Upsy Daisy/ Positvity day.

We have been using mirrors ๐Ÿชž to look at our selfโ€™s. So we could then draw our reflections. We used our fine motor skills to hold crayons ๐Ÿ–and coloured pencils โœ๏ธ. We independently chose what colours we wanted to use. We created lovely ๐Ÿ˜Š art work ๐Ÿ–ผ.

We used our fine motor skills to colour in positive messages colouring. We used our fine motor skills ๐Ÿ‘‹ to colour in the different pictures ๐ŸŽ†. As a group We spoke about different words of positivity we can use to be kind to friends.

In our tuff tray we created a friend potion ๐Ÿงช. We had a large bowl mob the middle of the tray and we gradually added different liquids to make what is a friend. We said kind hands ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿพ, sharing toys ๐Ÿงธ, looks out for us when we are upset ๐Ÿ˜ญ, gives hugs ๐Ÿค— and good listening ears ๐Ÿ‘‚.

Some of our school leavers also took a walk to their local schools this morning! We spoke about their new school uniforms and what they need to put in their book bags! We were really excited to see where we would go in and if we could see any big children!!
