This weeks national day was Earth Day. we spoke and learnt lots of interesting facts about our earth and the children enjoyed taking part in all our fun Earth day activities.

Today in the baby room 👶 we’ve had lots of fun!.
This morning we played in a dinosaur and mud tray!!🦕the babies loved using the dinosaurs to stomp in the mud! We were roaring to each other and babbling away to our grown up!.
Later on we used the dinosaurs and did a painting activity!🎨 the babies placed the dinosaurs 🦖 into the paint pallet and then started to stamp on their paper!📄 the babies loved stomping the dinosaurs onto their pieces of paper and looking at the patterns and shapes made on the paper!.
We also enjoyed playing with the duplo blocks and using them to build towers! Just look at all the fun we’ve had today!!.
Out in the big room-
This morning for the toddlers group time they enjoyed playing in our messy tray in the messy room. The tray was based on Earth day. They had to scoop up all the thin gas that were bad and place them in to the bowls to make out earth clean. They did so well scooping up things using a small spoon. 👦👧🥄🌏
The children enjoyed building an obstacle course with their friends and grown ups and then we made it in to a fun game of building it bigger and taking it in turns to walk along the bricks. We put our arms out to balance and then we jumped off at the end. We had lots of fun. 👦👧🧱
This morning for pre-school group time they practised their numbers. They had to tell their grown up what number was on the card and then place it on to the bingo board. They did so well at correctly knowing each number and putting it in the board. 👦👧🔢
They also have enjoyed writing and practising to write their names. They used a different colour pencil of their choose and copied their name labels. They sat well and focused for a long amount of time. 🔡👦👧✏️🖍
It’s been a lovely, sunny Thursday at MonkeyMoos!🌞😊
Bugs, bugs, bugs!🐌🐞 The children have spent the entire day searching for different mini beasts all around the garden!🐛 They found woodlouse and wiggly worms, ladybugs and spiders🕷
Food collages!🍞 Using all different types of dry foods, we crushed them up to make food collages! We had spaghetti, breadsticks, wheatabix and ice cream cones! So creative!🎨
When the children headed inside, they wanted to make and decorate some homes for the ladybugs to live in!🐞 Using different shaped and sized logs, the children used lots of different colours to decorate the logs and make the ladybuygs houses cosy and colourful!🏠
Play dough fun!😋 First, the children explored the play dough in the fairy land tuff tray, moulding fairies, mushrooms and magic wands🌈 Then we wanted to make our favourite… Play dough ice cream!🍦 The children decorated their ice creams with sprinkles and sparkles!✨
MonkeyMooer of the week!🐒 It’s time for the special announcement of our little MonkeyMooer. This week the award goes to… Nicholas!💖 Nicholas is absolutely smashing it with his potty training! Well done!😁
Animal rescue 🛟 MonkeyMooers 🐵 used tweezers and sieve’s to search for all different animals in the mud in our messy tray 🛟
Stack attack 👷 MonkeyMoos 🐵 using cotton reels to build huge towers 🗼 Colour matching or colour patterns MonekyMooers focused for a long period of time and helped each other 🤗
🚲 I like to ride my bike 🚲 Enjoying the warmer weather in the garden, MonekyMoos 🐵 took turns to ride the bikes and scooter around and around the garden🏡 changing directions when obstacles were in their way 👍
💨Parachute✨ We had garden time this morning flying the parachute and using it in different ways such as getting the MonkeyMooers to hide underneath it and flying it or putting the ball on top of it and trying to make it go as high as possible it was so much fun and the were filled with excitement and joyful cheers😃😆
This morning in babies we had lots of fun in the garden🌿. We played 3 Billy goats gruff whilst stomping over the trolls bridge🌉 and practiced our balancing skills on the stepping stones. We used our gross motor skills to do lots of running and burn out energy before sitting down for lunch🍝.
Today We have been enjoying our baby rainbow tray🌈 exploring the different textures of the felt and the ribbons, as well as making lots of lovely music with the ribbon bells✨.

Today in babies 👶 we’ve had a brilliant 🤩 day!
We started the morning getting creative 🎨 starting to make our Easter 🐣 cards! We absolutely loved 🥰 having our hands 🙌 painted 🎨 yellow 🟨 before printing them onto the paper 📄. We thought 💭 it was very funny 😄 when we had our hand 🤚 painted 🖌 and laughed 😂.
We then went onto exploring our tuff tray. We had fun 🤩 making our own salt 🧂 dough! We loved 🥰 using our hands 🙌 and motor skills to hold onto a wooden spoon 🥄 and mix the flour, salt 🧂 and water 💦 together. We then used our hands 🙌 to knead the dough before using the tools to roll it out and cut it!
Today in toddlers and preschool we have had a super day .
In the creative room we have been using our fine motor skills and hands 🙌🏼 to make marks in the flour in the tuff tray . We got super messy and was able to make different marks , wiggly lines and also start recognising letters 🔡 in our names.
On the creative table we have been making Easter eggs 🥚 with lots of stickers and rolling different coloured paints to make them super unique.
We’ve also had so much fun in the garden playing different games like what’s the time mr wolf 🐺 and also hide and seek 🫣which we super enjoyed . Our teachers also got the bubbles 🫧 out and we ran around the garden trying to pop them .
