This week at MonkeyMoos there has been lots of spooky fun activities happening!!
We have enjoyed joining in with some exciting activities and loved exploring the different textures and spooky items. This included Spooky Halloween and also making sure we had learnt all about our country (Romania) and book of the month (Fun Bones) before we move onto something new next month!!!

Highdown have gotten involved in some spooky ghost house adventures and also got involved in some great role play ideas using their imagination and exploring different opportunities. They visited the shops and enjoyed some ice creams. They also explored the book of the month and looked at all the different bones within our bodies.
Winklebury have enjoyed exploring the farm this week, by making their own fuzzy felt farm yard experience and making their own train to get to the farms. They also got messy whilst making their very own Autumnal trees.

The babies loved our Halloween tray! We had pumpkins and lentils to create a Halloween theme! they enjoyed feeling the texture of the pumpkins, and we enjoy creating safe spaces to learn about different seasons and holidays! 🎃
Our younger Discoverers have enjoyed music and song time! The Discoverers loved listening to the songs as we shook and danced and looked through our nursery rhyme book! 🎶 We have also created some painting for Breast Cancer Awareness! We used pink paint and created some lovely paintings that we are going to display in our Discoverers room! 🎨
We were Ghost Hunters today!! We found ghosts all over! The Discoverers enjoyed their ghost hunt that Amy set up for them! 👻

Today we has enjoyed playing with play dough, the children are very interested in how to make the play dough from the ingredients we have and have shown great fine motor skills by mixing the play dough. 🙌🏼We have been getting fancy by making jewellery with cheerios! Can you get the string through the hoops? Ooh La La! 🪡
We were practicing counting and alphabet too, the children are showing a big interest in their number and letter recognition and enjoy attempting to create their own digits. 1️⃣2️⃣3️⃣ Theres also been fun in the garden. Hide and seek and football have been tiring us out today as we explore the outside area with all the leaves falling!🍂

Today in Explorer’s we have been very busy and engaged in lots of different activities! We started the day off with a tuff tray activity based on doctors and taking care of babies, this was a great opportunity for the children to use their imagination by role playing… Then we did a holloween inspired group time where we read some Halloween books and played with some spooky play spiders🕷🕸. We then had a quiet afternoon so we had a dance party, and got out some crayons and paper and did some beautiful drawings which we’ve displayed in our room for our artwork! 🎨

What a fantastic Halloween stay and play we had this afternoon. There were so many activities for your children to take part in. 👧👦🎃🕷👻
We had different pumpkin faces, a spider’s web in the garden, lots of scary Halloween decorations and let’s not forget how well all the children and staff dressed up. 👧👦🎃👻🕷
We had funny bones themed tuff tray, jelly with eyes in tuff tray, shaving foam with Halloween themed, a Halloween tray with different colour rice and not forgetting biscuit decorating. 👧👦🎃🍪🦴👁
In the garden the children enjoyed playing on the spiders web and finding the big spider. 👧👦🕷

The children were super excited to show off their costumes on arrival today, they posed for a picture at the spooky photo booth📸 and then sat down at the breakfast table to enjoy a delicious pumpkin crumpet!🎃
Trick or treat?🍬 Reaching into the two cauldrons, the children would either be surprised with a squishy, slimy trick, or a rubbery surprise! The children were brave enough to put their hands✋🏻 into the trick bowl and then into the treat one to pull out a balloon🎈 which we blew up and used at the MonkeyMoo Halloween dance party!🕺🏻
Stick the spider!🕷️ A fun little game involved being blind folded and sticking the purple and black spiders to the web to win the most points!🕸️ The children were amazing at this, scoring points each time, we even hit the middle, 100 points, 3 times!🎯
Spooky ornament decorating!🎨 The children decorated a spooky wooden ornament to take home, using all the different coloured pens! We had frankensteins👹, spiders🕷️, apples🍎, witches🧙🏽♀️ and ghosts!👻
Treat hunt!🍫 We wrapped up warm, we grabbed our Halloween goody bags and headed out into the garden to find the treats the MonkeyMoo ghost had hidden around the garden!👻 The children raced around, looking in the tyres🛞 in the trees🌲 and all around to find the hidden goodies!
