What a great week we have had. we have enjoyed painting portraits of ourselves and talking about our self image and what makes us unique. We have enjoyed leaf printing getting ready for those Autumn days of different Autumn colours all around us. They also made different jewellery out of pasta and using the colour blue. So that’s all for this week, I wonder what will happen next week? See you soon.
Today at Monkey Moos π the children have had lots of fun π€© exploring in the nursery with our key workers and friends π π¨ πͺ΄ π
In the nursery the children have been looking at their faces and features then painting πΌ our very own self portrait π§π¦ The children used colours which matched the colours of their faces . It was amazing π€© for the children to see what they look like from their own eyesπ
The children π§πΆπ§ have also enjoyed some hand painting π¨ π€ in the gardenπͺ΄
We talked about what the paint felt like on our hand π and also names the different colours we used π
Some children π§ have also been looking at different types of booksπ we sat and looked at all the different pictures then talked about the different characters we saw π
We hope you have had as much of a good ππ» day as us πΆπ¦π§
Have a great evening π
Today the babies have had a really good day!πΆπ The babies have been playing in the garden π‘with all sorts of different toys. Some of the babies played in the water tray with the water funnels. π¦π§ͺThey filled the funnelsπ§ͺ up with water and then watched the water fall back into the tray. π¦The other babies enjoyed some story time with Mya. They babies listened to different stories and enjoyed looking at the pictures πΌοΈon the page. π
Later the babies got creative and did some leaf printing. ππ¨A tray was full of autumnπ π΄π’π€ colours and leaves. The babies then dipped the leaves into the paint π¨ and then placed it onto a piece of paper. Paper π They then patted β it down to make sure to leave a print and when they lift the leaf they found a colour print on the paper. πThey babies absolutely loved doing the leaf print today! πThe babies have also really enjoyed playing with the musical instruments πΈ and singing songsπΆ with Emma. They also being looking at their own reflection in a mirror πͺ point and smiling π at what they could see. π
They babies have had a great time!!π€©ππ»
The preschoolers and Toddlers have been busy exploring the natural environment today. We have spent lots of time in the garden going on an autumn π hunt! The children excitedly ran around the garden in search π π for leaves, pinecones, acorns and anything else they could find. The children found a range of leaves π scattered around on the floor. We had lots of fun jumping up and down trying to reach the leafs high up on the trees! π³ we collected them all together in a bag. We then laid out everything we had found on to a tray. We found lots of brown and orange leafs ππ, a couple of green leafs π we also found a few feathers! πͺΆ
The preschoolers and toddlers made a loose parts tray, filled with everything that we had found in the garden, a few junk modelling tubes, some lolly pop sticks and some pinecones, pencils and paper. The children explored this tray in any way they wanted too. Some children started drawing the leaves, others drew around the leafs. Some children created towers with the tubes and lolly pops sticks. The children enjoyed using their imagination π to create with the resources.
In addition to this we have been looking at shapes. The children built houses π‘ and trains π using a range of shapes including squares, circles, triangles and rectangles. The children used scissors βοΈ to cut out the coloured shapes. We discussed how to use and hold the scissors safely and with care. We then stuck them onto our paper and built our designs! We learnt the names of the shapes too.
Today has been very creative and full of arts and crafts. ποΈ
We started of by showing an interest in necklaces and brackets, so we got creative with pasta! We decided on a colour which was blue π, we then mixed it into the pasta. We then concentrated to thread 𧡠the pasta through, and wasnβt shy to ask for help when needed! To finish we had big smiles. π
In the messy tray we had oats, pots and pans as well as spoons and cupcake cases to make lots of yummy pretend food. We made chocolate cakes π§, vegetable soup π₯ and even milkshakes.π₯
Whilst outside in the garden we had a dinosaur π¦ swamp! We all used our best stomping skills to stomp the dinosaurs around. We also had fact cards about the Dinosaurs were we learnt lots of interesting facts. This then led us to find the matching dinosaur π¦ with the pictures.
We then finished with a yummy picnic with all our friends and even the teddy bears π§Έ came and joined in to.π―
