This week the children at MonkeyMoos have been taking part in unique talent day were they performed talent shows to show each other their very own unique talents. This was then followed by cranberry day were they made cheesecake and explore sensory bags. Lastly was thanksgiving, the children had there own picnics in the home corner and talked about what they are thankful for.
We have had a fun and exciting day at MonkeyMoos.
The babies πΆ enjoyed looking at books with our monkey π΅ which show our different unique qualities π€© and how we feel in different situations.
The babies also loved a game of chase , using the climbing frame and slide as a get away πββοΈπββοΈ
Meanwhile in preschool we celebrated unique talent day.π€ To celebrate we hosted a MonkeyMoos talent show, where the children were encouraged to show their different and unique talents.π Some of the talents on show included singing, xylophone and recorder playing, and a tambourine solo. πππ€ All performances were fantastic and the children sat excellently for all the performances πΆ
The children have enjoyed exploring different ways of using cranberries.
They have explore cranberry jam sensory bags where the could pushβ, pokeπ, and squish them to she how it moved within the bags.
They also made pretend cranberry cupcakes π§ out of play dough. They mixed it in a bowl and added sprinkles on top until they were set and ready to eat.
They had lots of fun making a cranberry cheesecake, they got very excited when looking at all the ingredients and guessing what they were going to make. They took it in turns to add all the ingredients and mixed it all together and put it in the fridge to set.π
What a truly thankful Thursday we have had!
In babies we loved exploring textures and tastes in the porridge oats tray. They used their fingers β and mouths π to feel and taste the porridge oats. They looked at leaves π, pine cones and logs πͺ΅ and the different marks β°γ°οΈ they made. The babies also enjoyed having their feet π¦Ά painted white βͺοΈ to make snowmen βοΈ, they found this very ticklish and funnyπ.
In Toddler Room they have be busyπ. In celebration of Thanksgiving the toddlers have been making turkey handprints.π¦β They used a range of different colours which helped in being able to identify colours.π΄π‘π We talked about what Thanksgiving is all about and what we do in celebration of it.πThe toddlers had loads of fun making their turkeys.ππ»
The preschoolersπ«have spent today discussing thanksgiving. We talked about what we are thankful for and who we are thankful for. The preschoolersπ«have also spent today making a thanksgiving card for someone we appreciate. We used different colours to colour in our turkeys and the practitioner helped the children write their names at the bottom of their cards.
