πŸ˜€ Happy Friday πŸ˜„

01/04/2021

We’ve had such a bright and colourful week this week which was also full of laughter.

To start with we had National crayon πŸ– day this was fun as we showcased our creative differences, we then played pranks with April fools day as well as going for a walk in the park for National take a walk in the park day and not forgetting Celebrating Easter 🐣 with an Easter egg hunt.

National crayon day! πŸ–οΈ

The children have enjoyed exploring different ways on how to use crayons.πŸ–οΈ

They went on a nature walk and took paper and different colours crayons to see what marks they could make. They tested the trees 🌳, concrete, grass and logs

They used their maths skills to see how many crayons πŸ–οΈ they could count and match them to the correct number, whilst others used the crayons πŸ–οΈ to make different letters.

The babies πŸ‘Ά have been creating their own Easter 🐣 eggπŸ₯š using paint 🎨 and sponges we spoke about the colours of the paint 🎨 and the sounds that chicks πŸ₯ make! This helps develop their creative skills as well as their language skills! To keep in with an Easter theme; we have been reading πŸ“– β€˜That’s not my chickβ€˜ and β€˜That’s not my bunnyβ€™πŸ°.

Meanwhile the toddlers took part in Easter 🐣 activities such as going on an Easter egg πŸ₯š hunt round the nursery! We had to look high ⬆️ and low ⬇️ for the golden eggs and we counted them as we went. We then explored fluffy chicks πŸ₯ and eggs. Also exploring how we had to wind the chicks up to make them move. We also made bunny 🐰 pictures by drawing round our hands βœ‹ We then added googly eyes πŸ‘€ and a pom-pom nose!

While all this fun was happening preschool was also having lots of fun engaging in an Easter 🐣 tray looking at working technological βš™οΈ toys and making them work using our hands and fingers πŸ–οΈ. They used spoons πŸ₯„ to scoops eggs πŸ₯š into baskets 🧺 and then opened them to see which creature 🐰was inside. We have also been exploring festivals πŸŽ‡ around the world 🌍 to help us look at April Fools πŸƒDay this has been helping us to look at people around the world and also increase our literacy and reading πŸ“– interest.

The children have been learning about national take a walk day 🏞 . We enjoyed going to the park and finding lots of different flowers πŸ’ , bugs πŸ›πŸͺ²πŸͺ°πŸͺ± and trees 🌳. The children did well to find lots of things in the park and did well to walk and hold hand with their friends.

The children enjoyed playing in the flour activity, they mark made using their hands 🀚 and different resources that we gave them. We had dolly’s, colanders and trains πŸš‚.

In messy we enjoyed glueing and sticking activities and we did well to use most of the resources that we had out. We also enjoyed playing with the dinosaurs πŸ¦• and counting how many we had and what colour they were.

In babies we enjoyed going for a walk, we loved the swings and did well to walk to the park holding on to an adults hand the whole way.
