We have had a wonderful week exploring lots of different activities around National Days. The children have been enjoying Jeans for Genes’s day, the children all wore their favourite jeans to nursery and they got to learn all about different genes that we are born with!
We have also celebrated ‘Talk like a pirate day’!! The children all got to dress up and pretend they were a pirates for the day. The children also took part in a variety of different activities such as walking the plank, making their very own treasure maps and then going for a walking around the community looking for different shaped treasure.
And lastly we enjoyed celebrating make a hat day, the children were able to make different types of hats using lots of different resources!!
Today the children had so much fun playing in our pirate themed boat. They all took it in turns to play in it and told their grown ups they were going to the sea to find all the treasure. π¦π§π΄ββ οΈπΆ
In our tuff tray we had a finding treasure activity. The treasure was hidden in soft flour and the children used their hands to find all the treasure. π¦π§ππ
This morning the children painted a cardboard box to make a treasure chest. They used brown paint and all did so well to take it in turns to paint. They did this as a group activity and it was lovely watching all children work together. π¦π§π¦π¨
Babies have been super busy today as well.
They have joined in with finding treasure in the tuff tray in the main room. Once found they showed it to their grown ups. πΆπ©π
They also had lots of fun playing in their own tray with shaving foam. They really enjoyed putting their hands in the foam and squeezing it. Plenty of mess today. πΆπ
Today in babies πΆ we have had so much fun π€© celebrating π₯³ Romanian day π·π΄!
We started the day getting creative sticking the coloured tissue paper blocks to the empty flag π·π΄. We used our motor skills to spread the glue all over the flag before sticking on the correct coloured Tissue paper ππβ€οΈ.
We then painted leaves π on a tree π² using the Romanian flag π·π΄ colours and a paint sponge. We used blue π yellow π and red β€οΈ paint π¨. We used our motor skills to push the sponge 𧽠into the paint π¨ and then dab it all over the tree π² branches.
The toddlers had lots of fun today celebrating π₯³ national Romania π·π΄ day today!
This morning we decorated our own cupcakes π§ with the Romanian flag π·π΄ we all sat down together and chose the cupcake we were going to decorate and then used a spoon to scoop π₯ either the blue π yellow π or red β€οΈ icing on to the top of our cupcake π§ afterwards we tasted them they were very yummy π
We also decorated our own Romanian flag π·π΄ using glue and different coloured rice π we had blue rice π, yellow riceπ and red rice β€οΈ to represent the colours of the flag. We used our hands ππΌ to sprinkle the rice over the top of our flags to turn them into the Romanian flag π·π΄ we canβt wait to show you what we have made π
Today in preschool we had so much fun π€© celebrating national π₯³ Romania π·π΄ day.
We had lots of fun looking into Bats π¦. One of the adults π΅ explained to us lots of facts about bats π¦and we filled out a dot to dot using our fine motor skills to hold a coloured pencils βοΈ we independently chose what colour pencils βοΈ we wanted to use. We also decorated our very own bats using colouring pencils.
We have really enjoyed playing pin the fangs π¦· on Dracula π§ββοΈ. With some help from the adults π© we were blindfolded and we tried to put Draculaβsπ§ββοΈ fangs π¦· on.
Using our fine motor skills we have been playing with the play dough. We used our hands ππΎ to match the coloured play dough to the different parts of the Romanian flag π·π΄.
Happy Monday, what a start to the week weβve had!π
We put on our jumpers and coats to get ready for the garden, and then raced out the door, eager to ride all the bikesπ΄πΌββοΈ We raced each other up and down the garden, we had to know how fast we could go! Some of the children took it in turns to gently push each other around on the bikes, some children went to the shopsπͺ whilst other children when to the beach!π
In the messy tray we explored all the different things we could do with oats! We filled bowls to the top and used spoons to mixπ₯£ We make yummy cupcakes in the baking trayπ§ and sang Itβs raining itβs pouring as we sprinkled the oats from our fingersπ§
Puzzles, puzzles and more puzzles! The children have loved their puzzles today𧩠Some children practiced their letters with the alphabet puzzle, spelling their names and identifying different letters! Other children learned about their farm animals through the farm puzzleπ·
