This week for school readiness week, the MonkeyMooers have been learning about name recognition!
During our activity the pre schoolers attempted to write their own names and displayed wonderful fine motor skills and tripod grips! Some of our preschoolers were able to write their whole name and we learnt about the different phonic sounds in each of their names, Well done preschool!
For school readiness this week, the preschoolers have been focusing on learning how to recognise their names through looking at different letters and writing their own names using pens and pencils. Once the writing stage was complete, we moved on to spotting our names through walking up the spider’s web and catching our names from the spider by spelling out the letter sounds to make up a name.
