This week we have all been enjoying the sunshine 😎and spending lots of time in the garden 🪴or going on walks 🚶.

The children have been getting involved in planning their own activities this week and have enjoyed helping our staff come up with some great activities following their own interests and fascinations. The children have produced some great ideas eg: getting messy 🧑‍🎨 with making their own colours using paint 🎨, Dinosaur 🦖swamps and lots of building 🧱.

We have also still been exploring and learning about the France 🇫🇷 our country of the Month and the book of the month which is Elmer 🐘. The children have really enjoyed making their own snacks from some of the yummy foods 🥐 we could find in France 🇫🇷 if you was to visit. They have also loved using their imaginations in our role play room where there has been lots of French cafes ☕️ for us to enjoy!! The children have also enjoyed listening lots of different Elmer Stories 📚 and then having a go at making there own colourful elephants 🐘.

Today in babies and toddlers we have been using our hands 🙌🏼 to get super creative making our own French flags 🇫🇷 we used our hands 🙌🏼 and paintbrushes 🖌 to make our flags super colourful with 🔵⚪️🔴 colours for the flags . We used the paintbrushes and slid them across the paper with lots of dabbing to make the colours stand out .

On the creative table we have been using our painting skills to make our very own Elmer elephants 🐘 with lots of different colours on a sponge 🧽 to make the elephants super colourful 🌈. 

We have also been exploring the French coloured rice 🔵⚪️🔴 with the Effiel tower , we used our hands 🙌🏼 to move the rice 🍚 in lots of different ways such as scooping , scraping and fluttering the rice from our fingers back into the tray.

We have had a fun 🤩 packed day on preschool celebrating 🥳 national planting and growing week. 

We used our fine motor skills to fill up a flower 🌸 pot 🪴with soil. We then very gently added seeds to the flower pot 🪴. We then added water from a watering can to the seeds on the pot 🪴. We read a book about flowers 💐 together and see poke about the process of seeds growing. 

We had so much fun 🤩 Using our fine motor skills to hold leaves☘️ and flowers 🌺. We then choose what colour paints 🎨 we wanted to use and dipped our leaves 🍁 and flowers 🌸 into the paints 🎨 and we then made lots of different marks across the page 📄 to make a lovely ☺️ creation.

What a great day we have had today!

In the main room we have been getting up to so much fun. We started off by taking it in turns to go fishing. 🎣We waited for our turn to use the rods and worked on our motor skills to collect the fishes. One we caught one we identified the colours and patterns we could see.🌈

We have created some wonderful pictures using different colours and stencils. ✍️We all had a unique talents by tracing through the stencils or using different movements to create our pictures. We were so impressed by our pictures we were able to talk about what we were drawing and who are pictures are for.🖼

Over at the home corner we have been putting our imagination skills to the test by making our friends some yummy tasty foods. We talked about all the foods we could see, including fruit and vegetables. 🍎🍊🍓🥕🥒We then spoke about the ones we enjoyed the most and began to talk about which ones were healthy and not so healthy.🍅🌽🍟

In baby room we have been moving our bodies in many different ways to help with our movements and develop body strength. To do this we have been climbing up the steps to go down the slides, 🛝throwing and kicking footballs, ⚽️and even jumping to pop the bubbles. 🫧

Whilst in baby room we been showing off our role play skills by making telephone 📞 calls to our mummy’s and daddy’s. We have also been cleaning up after we have been playing and making some yummy foods. 🧀

We can’t forget our building 🧱 skills. We have been using the duplo bricks to pull, push, turn and bang together to create different size towers.

Look in the mirror, can you draw yourselves? 😍 Using mirrors MonkeyMooers used their dominate hand to hold a white board pen to create a picture of themselves on white boards. 😍 beautiful creations – circle or square for a face, circle or dots for eyes and line for a month 😁

Let’s get baking🔥! This morning our babies have been making bread out of playdough in relation to put country of the month, France🇫🇷. They used different tools to mix, roll and cut the play dough✂. They also tried lots of different yummy breads for inspiration🍞.

This week in Preschool/ Toddlers we have been spending lots of time in the garden, enjoying the weather now that it’s starting to get a little warmer.🌄 They have been riding around on the bikes and scooters, walking in the plank blocks and drawing hopscotch games with the chalks👣. The children have been loving it outside and they are always eager to get out!

During the week our babies have loved exploring the nature outside during different weathers! They have been burning lots of energy and enjoying doing balancing games on stepping stones and bridge!🌿🌱🍃

The babies enjoyed our water play activity with a big smiles all around! They enjoyed doing lots of splashing, squeezing the water out the sponge and patting their hands around💫🐬

This week our babies have been exploring lots of sensory play🖐. They really enjoyed our edible lagoon which was made out of rice krispies and cornflour👅. They were able to copy the names of different sea animals🦀🐙 whilst exploring the different textures and tastes.

We’ve been doing lots of physical play and turn taking whilst using the climbing frame and ball pit. The babies took turns throwing the balls to staff members and laughing⚽ and also took turns going down the slide and clapping for eachother👏.

It’s been a wonderful and sunny day, filled with lots of different activities and games!⭐️

Incy Wincy Spider!🕷️ The children helped Incy Wincy find his legs by matching up the colours on the lollipop sticks!🟡

Spaghetti scramble!🍝 Hidden in the different types of spaghetti were all the different letters of the alphabet!🔠 The children used wooden spoons to fish out the letters and match them to objects around the room!

Painting fun!🎨 We got creative with different coloured paints in the art area!👩🏻‍🎨 The children painted some beautiful pictures of their Mummy’s and Daddy’s👩🏻‍🤝‍👨🏼, pictures of their favourite animals🐒, rainbows🌈 and unicorns!🦄
