We are all very excited 🤩 as we have entered a new Month and now we get to introduce our new book 📚 and country 🗺.

Our book of the Month is ELMER 🐘 and the Country is FRANCE 🇫🇷!!!

We will be enjoying lots of different activities 🧑‍🎨, games , listening 👂 to experiences and adventures 🔍 some of our families may of had when visiting France 🇫🇷. We will also be enjoying getting to know our story 📚very well and making lots of fun things to show our families.

As spring 💐 is here we have been spending a lot of our time looking at farms 🚜 and exploring all the new baby animals 🐑 who could appear on them. The children have loved getting involved and telling all the Staff and their friends if and when they have visited a farm and what animals they meet. We have also all been enjoying and getting involved in growing our own Cress 🌱 and then making our very own yummy sandwiches. the children enjoyed that s much we thought we would grown our very own Plants and Flowers 🌸 ready to brighten up our gardens in the summer 🌞.

We have had a fun packed day at nursery today, getting involved in lots of fun and exciting activities. Have a look at some of the things we have been up to?

We have used our fine motor skills 👏🏻to make our egg 🥚 and cress sandwiches 🥪. We used our fingers to break the shells 🐚 of the eggs. We then broke down the eggs 🥚 with a fork 🍴. We then added mayonnaise to the mixture. We then added cress to the mixture and mixed it all together using forks 🍴. We then added the 🥚 and cress mixture to bread 🍞 to create our very own sandwiches 🥪.

We had lots of fun 🤩 creating our pizza’s 🍕. We used paper 📝 plates and had the choice of what colour we wanted to use for the pizza 🍕 base. We used our fine motor skills to paint 🎨 our pizza base. We then used our fine motor skills 👏🏻to add tissue paper to represent the different pizza 🍕 toppings. Our pizzas 🍕 looked yummy.

We have taken part in a Elma the elephant 🐘 tuff tray. In the tray we had an outline of Elma the elephant 🐘 and we used coloured blocks 🧱, rainbow 🌈 blocks and colourful material. We used our fine motor skills 🙌🏼 to place the different objects into Elma the elephant 🐘 to make her colourful like the story 📖. A adult 👵 then read us the story 📘of Elma the elephant 🐘.

All the children have enjoyed being gardeners🪴🌱 for the afternoon in the sunshine ☀️ we used spades and rakes to add lots of and lots of soil to our plant pots🪴 we then used our fingers to make a hole to plant our little sunflower 🌻 seeds 🌱 we then worked together to add the seeds, and carefully cover them with soil, to finish off we took it in turns to use our big green💚 watering 💦can all the children really enjoyed getting messy in the garden 🪴 and talking 🗣 about what flowers 🌺 need to grow ☀️💦we can’t wait to watch our flowers grow and see 👀how tall they get 😃

The children have enjoyed going down to the messy room and enjoyed playing in the tray. In the tray they had potatoes and using plastic knives they had to cut up the potatoes. They did really good at sharing and had lots of fun. They were also good at cutting up the potato. 👦👧🥔

As much as they enjoy group time they also have enjoyed free play of their choice. They have enjoyed trains and tracks, animals and some time in the home corner. As well as looking at books and so much more. 👦👧

This morning the children enjoyed our group activity of naming shapes and saying the colours. Even the young toddlers enjoyed having a go. Come and take a look. 👦👧👀👆🟣🟢🟠

They also enjoyed a trip to the park before they had their lunch. They burnt off a lot of energy and did some really good listening. 👧👦🛝

The babies also enjoyed coming down for some time in the messy room. They enjoyed their squeezing the potatoes in their hands and rolling them. They also engaged with their peers and grown ups. 👶🥔

Babies have also enjoyed lots of free time in the baby room. They have enjoyed, musical instruments, looking at books, playing peekaboo and not forgetting to look in the mirror. 👶🪞🫣 📚 🥁 🎶

Welcome to the French cafe!👩‍🍳 we have enjoyed looking at the different types of bread such as: croissants, crumpets, rice cakes, pita breads and pancakes today before cutting them up and trying them… delicious!😋

Breakfast time!🍜 The preschoolers have enjoyed serving up one big breakfast for the dolls to enjoy today using spoons,bowls and cups to scoop up cheerios, cornflakes and porridge for everyone to taste!😋

Time to create!😎we have enjoyed spending time outside, making our very own butterflies today out of pipe cleaners, seeing if they will fly in the wind!🍃

Cook-tastic!😁 the babies have been busy in the home corner creating yummy meals for their friends to enjoy!😊

Farm day!🐷🐴🚜

Today we celebrated farm day, with lots of exciting farm activities!🌾

The children helped the MonkeyMoo farmer feed the baby cow and the baby pig🐄🐖 We decided whether the animals would prefer hay, leafs or magic rainbow food, and then used the tongs to pick up the food before dropping it into the animals mouth!🍂

Old Macdonald had a farm!🚜 In the messy tray we explored Old Macdonalds farm, counting all the different animals, exploring the different textures and singing along to the tune🎼

Let’s explore the field!🏃🏼 We headed out to the field this afternoon in the sunshine for even more activities!☀️We had running races, on your marks, get set, go!🟢 Bike races!🚴 games of football⚽️ and games of tennis!🎾
