Who we are

Each MonkeyMoos nursery is run by its own company. The company that runs the nursery you contact is responsible for (the "controller" of) the information you give us about you and your child.

All our nurseries are registered with Ofsted under MonkeyMoos Daycare Ltd. You can contact us about privacy at enquiries@monkeymoos.co.uk. Our registration with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) is number ZA134147.

What we collect and why

• Show-round bookings: your name, email address and phone number; your child's name and date of birth; when you would like a place to start, the sessions you are interested in and anything you tell us in the notes. We use this to arrange and confirm your visit, call you, and send you our welcome pack. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a possible childcare contract.
• Emails and phone calls: what you tell us, so we can answer your questions.
• If your child joins us: we give you a separate, fuller privacy notice with your contract.

We do not sell your information or use it for advertising. We only send you marketing if you ask us to.

Who we share it with

Only the nursery you chose and our management team see your booking. We use trusted service providers to run our booking system, store data and send emails (for example our database host and Microsoft 365 for email). They act on our instructions and keep your information secure. Information is stored in the UK or EU where possible; where a provider uses servers elsewhere, legal safeguards are in place.

How long we keep it

If your child does not join us, we delete show-round booking details 12 months after your visit. If your child joins, we keep records for the periods set by law and our records policy, which is explained in the fuller notice we give you.

Social media

We post news and photos on our own Facebook and Instagram pages. Our "MonkeyMoos Mothership" app is used only by our staff to publish posts to those pages. It does not collect information about people who view, like or comment on them. We never post children's faces or names without parents' written permission.

Your rights, and asking us to delete your information

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. You can also object to how we use it. Email enquiries@monkeymoos.co.uk or call your nursery, and we will reply within one month.

This includes any information connected with our Facebook or Instagram pages or our app: tell us what you would like removed and we will delete it and confirm when it is done.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Fonts on this website

This website loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers when you visit. Google may receive your internet address when this happens.
