All the children have been very busy this week at Monkeymoos and have got involved in some amazing activities and really enjoyed the sunshine at last. We have loved getting out and about or spending time in the gardens. We all got involved in international dance day on Monday where all the children and staff showed us what funky moves they have. We all enjoyed trying different ways to move around to the different types of music and expressing our thoughts and feelings.
Worthing have welcomed a new friends this week, He is Marvin the Monkey!!! Marvin will get the opportunity to go home with all the children within the nursery at some point through out their time here at Monkeymoos. We can not wait to see all the fun adventures Marvin gets involved in with our families. The children are all very excited and can not wait for their time to take him home.
There has also been some great activities from all the nurseries over the week which include children going to the beauty parlour and designing their own makeup or face paint. The children got to express their own ideas and the creating them using lots of different resources. The children have enjoyed going on a bug hunt and using tweezers to move all the different textures to see who was sleeping in the under growth. We then explored one of the children’s favourite books which is “The Creature Choir” the children enjoyed getting involved in recreating the story using their own musical instruments whilst the staff read the story to them. We also looked at the different animals and what musical instruments they where playing.
It has been a very busy week this week, as well as getting involved in all the fun activities. We have also gone into a new month ‘MAY’. We are very excited to started exploring our country of the month ‘SPAIN’ and one of the children’s favourite books ‘ROOM ON THE BROOM’. We can not wait to show you all the fun activities we get up to!!!!
What a fabulous Tuesday we have had!
Today in babies 👶 we’ve had a fantastic 🤩 day!
We enjoyed exploring a small world 🌍 shaving foam tray! We loved 🥰 finding all the different animals such as cows 🐄, sheep 🐑 and water 💦 animals like ducks 🦆. We enjoyed feeling the textures of the foam and jumping the animals across the tray.
We then loved 🥰 exploring an earth 🌎 rice 🍚 animal 🦓 tuff tray. We loved 🥰 mixing the rice 🍚 together to create colourful patterns. We also loved 🥰 picking out the animals and making noises such as ‘roar.
Today in toddlers we have had a superb Tuesday 🤣
In the creative room we have been using our fine motor skills and our hands 🙌 to explore which animals live in water 💦 in our water 💦 tuff tray with blue food colouring and a mixture of different animals 🐙🦈🦆🐊🐸. We used our hands 🙌 to move freely in the tray and also did our best animal noises for the different animals .
On the creative room table we have been exploring the the dinosaurs with paints 🟢🟡, we used our hands 🙌 to place the dinosaurs 🦖 in the paint to stomp them around to see what amazing marks they could make.
We have also had such an amazing time in the garden in the sunshine ☀️ exploring the different building blocks to make towers and explore the shadows that they could create.
The preschoolers had a terrific Tuesday jumping into the ocean with our under the sea 🌊 tray, where we had to use the fishing 🎣 rods to search 🔍 and discover 👀 the different sea animals 🐬🦈🐟🐢 that we could see. We had lots of fun 🤩 naming all the sea animals we could find and using our motor skills 💪 to pick them up with the fishing rod 🎣
In the tuff tray we enjoyed exploring our cloud ☁️ dough, this activity helped us work on or shape recognition 🔺▪️🔸 we used the cloud ☁️ dough to create lots of different shapes 🔸▪️🔺 that we could see 👀 in the tray and fill them like a jigsaw 🧩 puzzle
What a beautiful sunny Tuesday 🌅 MonkeyMooers enjoyed lots of fun activities in the lovely warm weather we had today. Listening to the birds singing put a huge smile on all our faces 😍 here’s hoping for better weather to come 🤞We enjoyed investing wheels on the bikes and scooters, working out how they move and extending our play to building our own vehicles using our big wooden blocks and wheels while in the garden. We also took interest in our herbs we are growing in our mud kitchens.
Today babies have had lots of fun playing with our beach tufftray! They enjoyed doing drawings in the oats and running the cereal and rice through their hands💜🏖
🙈Today the toddlers and pre-school have had a fun morning exploring the tuff tray and reading books!👶 They have had different options of choosing which food to feed the babies and exploring the texture of it they have also been reading books and exploring the pictures 👶
Babies have had lots of fun today exploring sensory balls⚽. They’ve been discovering different ways to pass them to each other with a little help from an adult such as rolling, bouncing, throwing and kicking👣. Babies have enjoyed using all their different muscles playing these different ball games💜.
Today in Preschool\ Toddlers we have been enjoying the nice weather in the garden…🍃 The children have had lots of fun activities out on the tables as well as the bikes, scooters and planks.👣 The Monkeymooers have particularly enjoyed playing with the sticks bricks, joining them all together to form different things like “dinosours”! 🐲

Our weekend!🏡 Sharing stories of our weekend is always our favourite way to start the day! It was so wonderful hearing about all the different things out MonkeyMoo’s had been up to!😄 We had play dates👯♂️ trips to different cities🎡 and baking and cooking different sweet treats!🍪
Bob the builder!👷🏽♂️ The children channeled their inner bobs the builders, with some fabulous building with all the different blocks🧱
Can you face paint?🎨 The children enjoyed role playing a face painting station in the home corner today!😊 Using paintbrushes and a paint pallet, the children painted butterflies🦋 tigers🐅 and fairy’s!🧚♀️
We are looking forward to the rest of the fun, exciting activities we will do throughout the week!!🥳🥳🥳
What a day babies have had. They have done super well with their interaction skills today. They enjoyed playing in the kitchen area together were they enjoyed sharing the foods and playing peekaboo. They also enjoyed playing with the sensory toys like musical instruments, rattling toys, and pretend phones. 👶 ☎️🥁🎶 🧸🫣
This afternoon some of the preschoolers went to the field to experience a BBQ. They sat very well and listened well to their grown ups instructions. They watched their grown ups cook the sausages and once it was all cooked they really enjoyed eating them. 👦👧🌭
The children had lots of fun in the messy room this morning and before lunch. They loved the messy tray which was themed around our book of the month “Room on the Broom”. In the buckets the children enjoyed playing with jelly and had 🧹
